This museum is actually a private collection that is only open for special events. It was hard to get good photos due to the layout and the crowd, but I managed to get a few good ones. Here's some selected shots from my visit earlier today. Where else can you see a roundtable of Ford GT's as you walk in the door?

I'm pleased that in a little over 24 hours I'll be able to visit this museum that I've been trying to get inside for years. The only open it for special events and even then it requires a donation to view it. A very nice collection of some very nice cars. I plan to get lots of photos of the museum & related car show Saturday. Will post some here of course! https://www.americanmusclecarmuseum.com/cars-by-make.html

Not really, I think it's a reissue of the old 70's Monogram kit. Not bad, but not that challenging either.

They need to clearance their entire stock and bring in fresh inventory. I don't see that happening though. My local HL had nothing on clearance either.

Michaels getting rid of models?
RSchnell replied to gbdolfans's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Michael's in my area only has 4 kits and minimal paint selection. I wouldn't even bother with stopping in but it's next to the Aldi that I frequent. The Ollie's across the street has a better kit selection- even on the times when they have no kits! LOL -
Ollie's strike again
RSchnell replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
On another aisle they had several Atlantis kits marked at $19.99. Ships, Missiles, etc. That's close to full retail price on those! LOL -
Ollie's strike again
RSchnell replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ollie's in Merritt Island, FL got a few new kits in. Nothing earth shattering, but if you're in the neighborhood..... I may go back & grab another '40 Ford Coupe. -

Went to open my laptop and the hinge that holds the screen detached from the plastic backpiece. Had to use needlenose pliers to unfold the hinge so it didn't break the screen. Lovely.

Passed my second interview/background check for a new job in the aerospace industry. A $40k/yr pay increase & low cost of living/zero debt means my stash will probably explode. LOL

What did you see on the road today?
RSchnell replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Been working on this '32 Ford Model B getting it alive after a few years slumber. Took it for it's first shakedown run this morning. -
They're still out there
RSchnell replied to Modlbldr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If your friend decides to get rid of the convertible, I'm a serious cash buyer. Been shopping 55-56 Ford convertibles for a few months now. That is the only body style '55-56 Ford I haven't owned out of the 40+ 5&6 Fords I've owned over the years! -
What interrupts your build time?
RSchnell replied to TopherMcGinnis's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I work in the Aerospace industry. A lot of what I do is classified so I can't go into detail. On the side I still putz around with old Fords for customers, finishing up a Model A Phaeton & about to start working on a '32 Model B Ford. Been messing around with old Fords for 45 years, I don't see that changing anytime soon! -
Ordered a couple of these Revell VW T2 kits, they showed up today. Upon initial quick look, it appears it will build into a nice piece.

Beautiful day here on the east coast of Florida, as usual lots of good stuff out running around. Only was able to get pics of these two. -
It's a Simmons. I think they're around 6:1

No, that was all pre existing. It also has a high compression head and downdraft intake and a later model Ford transmission with OD. The current owner bought it in a package deal of the man's entire Model A collection of cars & parts. This Phaeton got a very amateur restoration, lots of corners cut. IT will be interesting to see how it drives and what surprises unfold at that stage. The current owner has not driven it since purchase.

Spent a rainy day here on the east coast of Florida replacing the entire electrical system on a customer's Model A Ford. One of several prewar projects I have lined up for the next few months. Any day working on vintage Fords is a good day!

Ollie's strike again
RSchnell replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm kinda curious if Ollie's is going to start stocking kits on a semi regular basis. They seem to be getting them in with more regularity. Or they just have a massive backlog of inventory in the warehouse. -
Ollie's strike again
RSchnell replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Sounds like my local Ollie's. Most of the time the floor help is standing around in the back drinking coffee or pushing empty carts around to look busy!
