  1. I use Vallejo Air, dries like a substance, a bit like maskingstuff.
  2. Then you might use the wrong paint, I always use the airbrush to make whitewalls and it is perfect, nicer than a decal too.
  3. I would darken the insides more. From the picture it seems they are very close to black
  4. I find it a bit boring, bit dull and is probably even more daily driver-ish than the Gallardo.
  5. There is also a FXX modelkit from Tamiya
  6. If I can find the kit, I will be joining with a '67 Camaro Baha-style.
  7. I have no exact number of kits, but guess between 300 and 400, taking the lowest number is 300 models build this year: 1 leaves me with an 0,33 percentage.
  8. Great! Thanks guy's. I am now on the hunt for a Lincoln If I can't find it, those resin ones do look pretty good too.
  9. I am looking for one for a future build.
  10. Haha, ok. In that case I am glad he didn't called me Daisy
  11. Thanks guys, Good to hear you like it. It is one of those projects that is odd, different and not mainstream. You gotta love it or hate it, and glad that there aren't a lot of haters haha. It managed to get silver last saturday on the dutch nationals.
  12. @BigJeff; it is 1/9 scale. @Casey, who is Richard? @Pat: It is the old Esci kit, reissued by Revell @Crazyjim; I see what you did there,
  13. 40 dollars is too steep, 15-20 dollars seems more realistic. considering the European market, 15-20 €uro's seems to be ok. If you don't know what to sell it for, put it on eBay without reserve and let the market decide for themselves.
  14. And to give you a idea of the size: I hope you guys enjoyed it!
  15. It has taken me more than half a year and this is my first finished build in 2013! Normally, I would've finished about 8 by now, now just this one. It was a project where I didn't know for sure how it would turn out and what the final look would be, simply because it has never been done before in this way and even with the real cars, the Kubelwagen is mostly left untouched. Not so much with this kit, I decided to modify the heck out of it. I started with cutting up the body and get it from a 4-door to a 2-door model, then I sectioned the body and shortened it. I made a new nose, so the original floorpan could be used and prevented it from making the model look goofy. I added a very wild paintscheme, inside and out, and added a lot of different styled touches. I think that overall, the blend does come out nicely. I haven't gotten a proper photobooth for this size of cars yet, so I made a rough photoshoot, sorry about that.
  16. Why? we have more people from the Portland area on this board ;-)
  17. I installed the windshield And the headlights. Tomorrow it is time for final assembly.
  18. The decal for the speedometer is a bit weird, it is pointing to 100km/h, which is a bit unrealistic, giving it is on display. I installed exhausts on the back end and taillights. This will be the new pointer for the speedometer. Which looks a whole lot better.
  19. Most likely the final update, I hope to get'r done tomorrow or friday, just in time for the Nationals on saturday. Work has been mostly limited to detailling and fixing weak fitments, the car has some issues with a weak construction, which appeared after installing all the wheels. The car couldn't sit on it's own axles. I added some air filters on the carbs. Using mesh that I formed over a round object, Giving it a realistic appearance. The front end got a horizontal bar for installing the headlights on, to prevent the Kubelrod would have that typical volksrod appearance. And while playing with some left over parts, I had a fun idea. In the spirit of the Moon gastanks on the front axle with some hotrods, I am using the jerrycan as a gastank for the Kübel
  20. No, I calculated that into the one - two weeks, I usually got my stuff within a few days.
  21. I couldn't sit through it either, it was too focused on just one thing and (although a very good thing, no discussion about that) it got rather boring because of that. I'd rather had some wider aspect of his life. My wife (who is American) did enjoy it better than I did.
  22. I guess so, although the story goes that they didn't got into production because of lack of interest. Well, I finally got the info; it was going to be a Lamborghini Diablo Roadster! Didn't expect that one, I'll try to get the pictures uploaded soon. The (resin) car has been restored, as it was in bad shape.
  23. They only sell if in stock, so the turnaround isn't there, you just have to wait one - two weeks till it arrives per mail. Great quality too.
  24. It is not a model we ever going to see produced, so if it is/was a Miura, they would've been beated the Italian Although I would assume it would be done as a Pocher like the F40/Testarossa, so not a great amount of detail.
  25. It's not the F50 and Hornby still has the 'mysterious' one But thanks on the info about the F50, didn't knew that.
