  1. Thanks all for the kind words @Cliff, Richard & Dale: the Charger has a 2-tone paintjob Mini silk green on top and Bentley Racing Green on the lower part. The racing stripes are in fact the Bentley color and the Bumblebee stripes are in fact the Mini color. I agree it looks a bit off with the shadows and sharp panel lines, but in real life, it is all smoother and makes sense. Also, there are ghosted skulls in the 2 racing stripes, but one needs to have a very detailled eye to see them @Lee; not really, some minor issues with fitting, but nothing to be worried about. Even though it is an older kit, the exact same tooling is used for the 'special edition' 68 charger that Revell released not that long ago.
  2. I got this kit cheap since it was started, unfortunately poorly and I tried to sell it again, but Nobody wanted it, so I decided to make the best of it. I gave it a custom paintjob, shaved the body, put different wheels under it and have a better looking Mini now.
  3. This kit is very simple, yet it builds to a very nice model of the beautiful 275 GTS
  4. The well-known '70 Chevelle from Revell/Monogram, but with my own twist again.
  5. This is the Dick Landy's Charger, but I gave my own twist to it.
  6. Well, it is finished. A simple, quite easy kit, but with some elbow grease made into a nice looking hotrod.
  7. I put the ignition wires in the right place And glued the radiator in place, I left it boxstock, since it will be hardly visible after completion, I did add 2 wires though The body is almost done, just a few more things and it can go on the fenders. And 2 shots of the interior.
  8. Thanks Carl. Well, progress isn't that fast, but at least I get some stuff done in a few decent hours. I started with detailing the engine And added 2 Cherrybombs I made from the kitparts and some extra material a better looking aircleaner. then I made my 'signature' v-belts, they look so much better than box-stock.
  9. Thank you guys! I am not getting much done at the moment, so progress is slow. But I do get some much needed cleaning done in the hobby attic. I flocked the floor of the 37 And started working on the engine And the frame.
  10. Thanks Roger, No idea why 36 was in my head, weird....But changed!
  11. Thanks guys! @James; it would be ok if you build a 80's hotrod, but not today's hotrods, it is just weird. As is the included car-phone
  12. Headliner painted Gastank painted And uncovered. I am now working on all the other parts, but will update soon.
  13. The body was masked to paint the headliner and pillars. I gave the car some ghosted flames, they are only visible if the light hits it correctly. The parcel shelf was given a new piece and shaped the same.
  14. I decided it was time to build me a hotrod again, just for the fun of it. After spending time in my 'warehouse', I found a nice simple kit, perfect for a quick, but fun build: The pictures are a bit behind, as I went for it and didn't want to pause for pictures, sorry. The kit is based on a '80s take on hotrods, so bucketseats, weird parcelshelf speakers and more of that. To adress that, I got those horrible speakers off: Instead of the bucket seats, I found a bench, which will look better than those buckets. The engine was painted in the same color as the lower half of the body. And the frame the same color as the topside of the body.
  15. I think I would go for 100-125 USD for a new 1.8 scale kit by Revell,
  16. Thinking the same here, especially the wheels, since I have two of those kits and both have those horrid wheels.
  17. I left it off, to me it looked wrong, like they tilted it 90 degrees in how it suppose to be on. It just didn't looked right to me, so I decided to omit the trim. It was also way to big. If you really want the trim on the car, I think it is better to BMF a strip of styreen and put that on instead. The hatch is hinged operable out of the box, except for the lifters, they come in a fixed position. There should be room for improvement. I 'd like to see your solution. @Glenn, check the first post ;-)
  18. Unfortunately, John couldn't do this because of time, but I do appreciate his effort. Is there someone else willing to help me out?
  19. If it doenst have to be 1/24, Tamiya has a great 1/12 kit.
  20. Nope, not a supermini. This is what we class the B-class or segment. Supermini's are like the Smart and Toyota IQ etc... But you are right about the money, it is ridiculous, have you heard about the Adam Rocks yet? I believe it starts at 25-30.000 US.
  21. Seen from the underside, it is obvious why the oilpan had to be removed and turned. I added a second bracket for the cabin, it should be the right heigt, but will see that later on. For now, it gives me a good referencepoint. And I added new enginemounts, they are still rough and not final at all.
