  1. Does anyone make resin straight axles like the Revell Willys Coupe kits have? I am tired of buying entire kits just for the straight axles.
  2. My second edition is a car in process of being converted to drag race mode, note rear wheels and slicks with the dog dish hub caps. This one has a 331 Chrysler Imperial Hemi which fit surprisingly well. I just used the simple pinstriping because I couldn't find a set of Monogram '55 Chevy flames for the side.
  3. Very good Job. I never thought to try that one. Very original.
  4. This is my first build of the Revell 29 Ford Roadster. I had always wondered how a front mount blower would fit in a roadster. This one was built with front blown 283 Chevy. This build required moving the front crossmember, front axle and grille forward 8". Please post your roadster builds here as well.
  5. With Moebius coming out with the Nova Gasser and a Dodge Coronet AWB car, my list would be for Moebius to make the following: 1965 Mustang A/FX car 1966 Mercury Comet flip-top car 1965 Chevelle AWB 1965 GTO AWB 1965 Barracuda that could be built as the Hemi Cuda II or Bob Sullivan's Pandemonium
  6. Thank you Dave, I am drooling over this one. My plans are to build a Landy car, a Ramchargers car and a Grand Spaulding car.
  7. Impressive display of Gassers. Psycho is my favorite, I love the aluminum spoilers mounted on the rear fenders.
  8. Very original and very cool, nice job!
  9. I do the same as EngineerBob, I cut the body, but I use a Dremel tool. The only time I have used two bodies was on the Thunderbolt when I "stretched" the rear openings similar to a modification made back in the day. I agree with you on the AMT AWB kits being junk. The Georgia Shaker above was an AMT AWB body mated to a cut down Moebius Comet chassis. I am setting up to do the same with new Moebius Chevy II Gasser kit. I am going to mate the AMT AWB body to this chassis, altered of course, to create a Dick Harrell AWB version.
  10. Nice car Scott8950. I wish I had done the sedan. I was going to use a resin body which is why I ended up with the bubble top. The body was terrible and I punted and moved the wheel opening on the Nicholson Bel Air. I cut the 16" from the chassis in the dead center to keep the X-frame symmetrical.
  11. This is one I have wanted to build for a very long time. The reference picture is from the 1966 HOT ROD Magazine yearbook. I took the Don Nicholson '62 Bel Air and moved the rear axle forward 16". In keeping with the Yellow River Drag Strip theme of the day, I removed the front bumper and gutted the interior.
  12. Dude, I love it. I have been toying with the idea of building this one. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I'm afraid I may have to copy this one for my collection.
  13. These are very cool. Nice work my friend.
  14. I love it, very cool. I never thought to do an Orange Blossom drag car, great idea. Here is my version as a Four Wheel Drive Puller.
  15. Next one in my "how many different ways can I build the Moebius Golden Commandos car Series". I started with the California Flash Moebius '65 Plymouth hardtop kit. I cut 6" from the floorpan and moved the rear axle into the A/FX position. I grafted the Moebius Golden Commandos front subframe onto the Flash chassis to get the wheelbase of The Professor. I moved the driver back 18" and gutted the interior like the cars at Yellow River Drag Strip back in the day. The engine was also moved back 6".
  16. I personally can not wait for this kit. I have two planned builds right away.
  17. I built this one for my friend. Connecticut modified legend Bob Ellis.
  18. Really nice job. I am hoping Moebius will make one alot closer to the real thing.
  19. That is very cool. Love the graphics.
  20. A different kind of altered, but one of my favorites nonetheless.
  21. This my version of Arnie Beswick's Comet. I don't build a car to the box very often.
  22. papajohn97, here are a few super stockers I have built. My favorite is the Mickey Thompson Hemi conversion Ford Thunderbolt. Used the the heads and valve covers from the Tennessee Thunder for my conversion.
  23. For my friend papajohn97, here are a couple of Jr Stockers I have built
  24. This is my latest. A tribute to Don Gay and his US Nationals B/FD winning GTO.
  25. Wow, very good job. I may have to copy this one for my collection.
