Since the weather outlook for the next week looks bad for painting I thought I'd crack open the 37. I printed out a BBC with Cross Air Intake for this build but I found out pretty quick that It's just to Big for the business end in the 37. I'm going with the BBC but with a single Holly 780 dual pump carb. I still had to modify the firewall due to the heads hitting.

I finished this one up earlier this morning. Just a re-cap...this was the model I dropped so a rebuild was in order. The original body was damaged from me using lacquer thinner to try and remove the paint after all other avenues had been tried. The new body was supplied by my Buddy Terry Wilson and the decals came from another good friend Roger S. Painted with Tamiya Gloss black and cleared with Splash Paints 2K Clear. It was then wet sanded, polished, and waxed. The only thing different from the original build is I painted the tires with Tamiys Rubber Black, painted the photo etched grille gold to match the gold lettering, new and different decals, and new glass. That was the second time I applied decals as the first set just would not stick. The second set I used Tamiya Mark Set decal solution and things worked out fine. That Cuda is a nice looking drag car Anthony.

I hear ya dude. I'm glad this part is over. Now to push or drag it over the finish line. I'm hip...much better than the first go around. There is something in the new Meguire's Liquid Wax formula that is much different than the old. Never had this issue with the old formula. I appreciate it man. Finally something is going my way.

Looking really sharp there L M. Looks like most of the hard work is done.

I'm like you Jim, I like the ole fat fender cars. Lots of style compared to whats on the road now a days. That's a good looking fleabay purchase and will build up into a fine looking Ford Sedan.
