I got my new decals sheet yesterday from my good friend Roger S. Some fellows had mentioned that the decal solutions should not be used on SLIXX decals and it clearly says on SLIXX orange tag that it's not compatible with all decal solutions or clear coats so I did a test. I used the decal solution on an old body with a decal off the sheet and it didn't seem to have any adverse effects so I got after it. I just put the one decal on first and let is set for about an hour to make sure nothing went wrong. I'm good to go.

That blue is looking good David. One more pass with the scriber on the panel lines should do it.

Got the hood back in primer and I'm satisfied with how it looks now. Tomorrow looks like a pretty good day so I'll make a trip to the hobby shop for some more paint just to be on the safe side. Don't want to run out right in the middle of spraying. -

Thanks David. If I have enough paint left I'm going to repaint the whole body again to make sure it matches. -

Well...after getting the engine assembled and doing a trial fit of the body over the chassis I found out real quick I had a problem. I didn't take into consideration the distributor sticking out front so far and hitting the body. I had to move the engine back and that meant the hole in the hood would have to be relocated. It's all good, got it fixed and ready for some primer and topcoat. -
One heck of a build there Scott. Love these old Willy's Gassers dude. Nice build and I'm with ya on "Long Live Gassers".
