  1. Hopefully they are beyond Lucas wiring!
  2. As soon as i pick up some extra brass to make the frame out of and find a nice engine for it i will be starting mine. Been looking at it for year now. Its my most expensive kit ive bought to date. Than and the Gunze Ferrari v12 250 GTO. I believe the 289 from Monogram's GT350 is a good starting point I think RMoM makes a Weber set up for this engine. I have looked at mine since it first came out and once I opened it I was like wow someday when I think I am good enough to do it justice.

  4. Has any tried using the current update/pe sets for the Fujimi kits on any of the older Pantera kits and how did they fit?
  5. " I haven't read anything about a 351 in a Cobra. However Ken Miles built a "Fliptop" Cobra (CSX2196) and originally installed a 390. It was fast. He later installed a 427 and it just wouldn't handle." The 390 that Miles put in was an aluminum NASCAR 390 so the weight wasn't much different from the 289.
  6. The funny thing is Scale Coachworks wanted one to use the R/M kit as a donor however there is enough of difference in the dash layout that it wouldn't look right at least the Cobra fans!
  7. Here is my Monogram 1/43 built up.
  8. Academy allegedly was to produce a Daytona coupe however I have given up hope of it ever coming to light. I have a 1/24 FIA conversion kit from Scale Coachworks that is unfortunately missing one of the ducts. Interesting that it is 1/24 and no one makes a 1/24 small block car to use parts from as I sure as heck am not parting out my Gunze coupe kit!
  9. Here is my 1/43 289 in a street rod!
  10. Just a side note that kit although it is supposed to be a Ford it has a Chevy engine in it. You may want to sub a Monogram NASCAR Ford engine and scratch an intake manifold or modify for the injector setup.
  11. For beauty my faves were the JPS Lotus cars and the Benetton Ford 87-91 Also I respect the DF series Cosworth/Fords as they ran the same basic configuration from 1967 to 1991 I believe. Though outclassed by the V-10s they were still competitive in the right hands.
  12. Buy the Ford!!! Go Ford!!! Oh it is ultimately your decision though do you want a muscle car or a classic?
  13. I got a 55% on the Drag ID!
  14. 91% 40 of 44. I have issues with Chevelles apparently!
  15. This might work also it is from Studio 27 http://www.hlj.com/product/s27fp2456/Aut
  16. Thought this was very cool!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
  17. Revell of Germany has re-issued a lot of Matchbox kits so maybe they have them now.
  18. Other than the engine IMHO the Fujimi kit is a fairly good representation of the CSX 4000 series and the Revell kit is better for the originals from the sixties. Just my 2 pennies
  19. Very cool build! The Testors kits were the Gunze Sanyo reboxed.
  20. I too like everything but the wheels. IMHO a nice set of Torque-Thrusts or chrome reverse with baby moons.
