Well, I'm thinking more like $10,000 to $15,000. Last year, or the year before, I saw this sweet 1950 Chevy truck go for about $12,000 ! If you look at new and used car prices you can't buy much for $10,000 to $15,000. Of course they want cash and I'd need a loan. LOL . . . -

I find it hard not to watch. Especially considering what else is usually on TV. And every once in a while you see a cool car that is sold for a price that makes you say, "Hey I could almost afford that car !" . . . . -

This is supposed to be on it's way to us. Cool. I like it !! QUESTION: In real life, how many two door police cars were actually used? I guess the bad guy gets to ride shotgun. !!?!?! . . .

It’s hard to believe, but this project is finished. Having decided to simplify the design made it a much easier build. I think I accomplished the challenge, which was to use Choco the Homie in a diorama. I don’t consider this a serious diorama, it's purely fun and games. Here is how it will be laid out for display. The figures will be facing away from the viewer as they watch their homie friend being shot out of a cannon. I think the cannon shot helps explain why his pants are falling down. ( NOTE: After looking at my pictures, I think my final layout will have a little less smoke from the cannon) These buckets are for the fire truck. THANK YOU FOR HANGING WITH ME ON THIS ONE.............. . . . . . . . .

What we do for our hobby...
Hollywood Jim replied to Vince Nemanic's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
SPICE GIRLS. About three inches tall. 12 different girls. I think their legs are too long. (Could a girl have legs that are too long?) Here is one; I shortened her legs 1/4 inch. . . . . . -
Since I will be shooting Choco out of a cannon I’ll need something to catch Choco. Maybe a net? No, a net would be too big to carry down the street in the parade. I need something different. So here is the story line I came up with. Pete Choco left his home and joined the circus. When the human cannonball got hurt, they got Joe to fill in. But Joe kept missing the target, until they found a target he never missed; an easy chair with a beer and a TV remote. When the circus came back to the hood, all of Pete’s Homie friends came out to see him. . . . .

Saving instructions
Hollywood Jim replied to Terry Jessee's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Great tip Terry !! I'd like to expand on the instruction topic. I had about 80 instructions from kits that I had built. I kept them all. Earlier this year I needed to conserve space so I gave the instructions to a friend. I could not figure out what I would ever need those instructions for. Is there a good reason to save model instructions? Why do you save model instructions for kits that you have built? . . . -
OK, since I’m doing a circus parade down main street I’ll need a circus wagon. So I searched for some ideas. I needed to make a flat bed circus wagon for the cannon. I have this kit that has missing parts so I used the tender coal car. I added some toy wheels and some wood filigree from Christmas decorations and came up with this. . . . . . .

Yeah come to think of it Dan, it does look just like one of our model car club meetings. Except I forgot to add your character. So I decided to add one more. Thanks for the great idea. . . .

I have been thinking about the layout of this diorama. I was going to build a single ring circus with the backdrop and maybe a small audience. Kind of like this. But then shooting a guy out of a cannon might need more space. I decided to change the layout to a street scene. And have a “circus coming to town” parade. Much more simple. So here is the new story line. The homie figure’s name is Choco. Choco left the hood and joined the circus. One day the human cannonball got hurt so they got Choco to fill in. When the circus came to Choco’s hood, all of Choco’s old friends came out to see him. Step one, I built a sidewalk. I separated the homies and some other figures I have into not in scale (too cartoon looking) and in scale. These guys are too cartoon looking. These guys are much more real looking. These will be Choco’s friends. . . . . .
