  1. im having one of those drop everything in the floor kinda days today. pretty sure i could drop something in zero gravity right now. and do to a few things iv dropped, my temper is flaring pretty good.
  2. saw something i haven't seen in probably 30 years. a late 80's "4 door bronco" (if i remember right they're actually coach built or conversions by a privet company or something along those lines). it was white, looked pretty mint, but thanks to a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH hippy chick in a small jeep SUV who was more concerned with playing with her hair than driving, i failed to get a pic.
  3. along that same line...
  4. on my way home from work today, saw a 67 Chevelle convertible with Super Sport badges, no idea if it was legit or not. but it looked clean. an unknown year Corvair convertible. and a primered ether 55 or 56 ford delivery. it was running and driving but obviously a project.
  5. the Sunday portion of the air show got cancelled do to an oil spill. but i still got buzzed by the Canadian Snowbirds this morning. im assuming they were leaving Los Alamitos. so i think my jet spotting is over until next year. wasn't expecting to see that today.
  6. traffic had it's head further up it's butt than normal this morning. and it was blue sky's and sunny all day, temps in the mid 80's with low humidity. then 3 o'clock rolled around and cooled down a maybe 5 degrees and the humidity climbed, and the doom and gloom set in. then driving home traffic was still more clueless and ass dragging than normal, but they were also freaked out by spots of heavy wind, and lightning literally 5+ miles away. see lighting, swerve a bit, and slow down. it wasn't even raining yet (I’m astonished)! now there's a thunder storm rolling through, got lots of lightning and thunder (not irked by that. i like rain and lightning and thunder don't bother me) this is some weird weather for Southern California.
  7. coming home from work i pass a place called EDO Performance, it was ether Wednesday or Thursday there was a pink Nissan GTR in there. looked like they may have been doing a photo shoot or something with it. then yesterday leaving the bank there was a rather ratty late 40's/early50's Chevy truck driving through the parking lot. kind of a "rat rod" if you will. based on ride height it may have been bagged. had some logo on the door i couldn't read, didn't get a super good look at it.
  8. semi frequently we get Chinook's flying nice and low right over us at work. you get a formation of 3 to 5 of those and that's when the building starts to shake. we used to be right across Katella ave. from the base and a few times they must have been doing paratrooper training or something cause they were jumping out the back of the Chinook's. it was pretty cool. we got that and the occasional C17, C5, and C130 coming and going. the C17's and C5's were something to see! anyway i took my camera today, so naturally they didn't fly as much. i need to invest in a new camera... but the pic's came out better than the previous pic's taken with my phone.
  9. they circle where i work when they come in to land. so yeah, they're low! had a formation of 4 Blue Angels go by today, can't say the warehouse was shaking, but things in the warehouse were vibrating. outside car alarms were going off. it was pretty cool!
  10. didn't go all the way through this thread, so idk if it was posted. Bad Wolves covering The Cranberry's song Zombie
  11. there's an air show in Huntington Beach, CA this weekend. the military jets are staging out of Los Alamitos Joint Forces base and i just happen to work right up the street. so i got buzzed by the Blue Angels, the Canadian Snowbirds, the Thunderbirds, and when leaving work i think those were F35's. got a few (crappy cellphone) pic's of Blue Angels.
  12. 70 1/2 Camaro Z28 from AMT.
  13. it's been an off and on project after work and on weekends for the last 8 months. it has some good points and some stuff that didn't come out quit right. but overall im happy with it.
  14. saw ether a 64 or 65 Falcon today. was a dark burgundy color. looked pretty clean.
  15. what the hell, you can pick up a rust free driver for 10k. that suckers not even a westy. unless it's 4wd it's got nothing going for it.
  16. 64 Impala, black, from what i could see of it, it looked pretty clean. late 64 bug. darker blue (non factory color), empi 5 spoke wheels chrome lip with grey spokes. roof rack. quiet pack muffler. looked pretty good from where i was sitting. it was in the same parking lot as the Impala. 2 spots over. red 66 Mustang. red, black interior, cragar wheels. also really clean looking. and last but not least, not sure of the year, 21 window VW bus shell shell on a trailer. looked like it had just been painted. white over gray. and yesterday morning i saw a red 65 Chevelle. so it's been a good car spotting week. i need to go back to running a dash cam, i could pull screen shots from the video.
  17. mosquito bites. and not just any mosquito bites. asian tiger mosquito bites. so not only do they itch like no words can describe, but they're painful as well. and to top that all off, they're in bad locations. back of my right leg behind my right knee right where my shorts rub. and on the side of my left pinky finger at almost the middle knuckle. and if history's taught me anything, ill be dealing with these for the next 10 to 12 days.
  18. Angelfish's self titled album. it's the band Shirley Manson was in before Garbage. most of the album sounds like an an early yet refined garage band version of Garbage. it's got 3 sand out songs (posted below). but the whole album is worth a listen if your into 90's era post grunge alternative rock.
  19. that. is. freaking. COOL!
  20. 58 Impala convertible. black with black top. didn't notice the interior. looked like a very nicely done stock restoration.
  21. judging by the headlights/grill, side marker lights, and possibly missing side trim, im guessing early to mid 80's. but don't quote me on that. i like the body style but don't know a whole lot about them.
  22. i find it somewhat shocking that there's a square body Chevy in the UK. that doesn't seem like something that would be very sought after over there.
