Favorite Obscure or Discovered Music Album

been listening to Heatmiser's Dead Air album today (actually have the CD). if you're into obscure early 90's alternative rock, or maybe more accurately early 90's college rock radio, it's pretty good. track 6, Blackout, is particularly good. -
parked next to this while running errands after work today. one of the strangest things iv ever seen, this old dude, had to be well into his 70's and showing it, was driving it. he got out, walked away, grabbed a shopping cart in the parking lot and headed in the direction of the grocery store. i was heading elsewhere. as i was walking back to my truck probably 10 minutes later i could hear and smell that he left it there running while he went shopping! im thinking, dude come on. if you're not going to take better care of it, sell it to me

Let's See Some Glue Bombs!
Suburban_Hooligan replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
i unfortunately don't have any "before" pic's. but this was a quick clean up i did last year. it went from 2 bad paint jobs, one over the other, and i think the first one was done with a brush, a slight over use of glue, a poorly made intake manifold, some miss aligned front end pieces, and a missing scoop, to this. i stripped it down bare and started over. ...probably should have replaced the tires... -
peoples inability to suitably operate a motor vehicle was particularly infuriating today. as well as there inability to navigate.

im having one of those drop everything in the floor kinda days today. pretty sure i could drop something in zero gravity right now. and do to a few things iv dropped, my temper is flaring pretty good.

saw something i haven't seen in probably 30 years. a late 80's "4 door bronco" (if i remember right they're actually coach built or conversions by a privet company or something along those lines). it was white, looked pretty mint, but thanks to a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH hippy chick in a small jeep SUV who was more concerned with playing with her hair than driving, i failed to get a pic.

the Sunday portion of the air show got cancelled do to an oil spill. but i still got buzzed by the Canadian Snowbirds this morning. im assuming they were leaving Los Alamitos. so i think my jet spotting is over until next year. wasn't expecting to see that today.

traffic had it's head further up it's butt than normal this morning. and it was blue sky's and sunny all day, temps in the mid 80's with low humidity. then 3 o'clock rolled around and cooled down a maybe 5 degrees and the humidity climbed, and the doom and gloom set in. then driving home traffic was still more clueless and ass dragging than normal, but they were also freaked out by spots of heavy wind, and lightning literally 5+ miles away. see lighting, swerve a bit, and slow down. it wasn't even raining yet (I’m astonished)! now there's a thunder storm rolling through, got lots of lightning and thunder (not irked by that. i like rain and lightning and thunder don't bother me) this is some weird weather for Southern California.

coming home from work i pass a place called EDO Performance, it was ether Wednesday or Thursday there was a pink Nissan GTR in there. looked like they may have been doing a photo shoot or something with it. then yesterday leaving the bank there was a rather ratty late 40's/early50's Chevy truck driving through the parking lot. kind of a "rat rod" if you will. based on ride height it may have been bagged. had some logo on the door i couldn't read, didn't get a super good look at it.

semi frequently we get Chinook's flying nice and low right over us at work. you get a formation of 3 to 5 of those and that's when the building starts to shake. we used to be right across Katella ave. from the base and a few times they must have been doing paratrooper training or something cause they were jumping out the back of the Chinook's. it was pretty cool. we got that and the occasional C17, C5, and C130 coming and going. the C17's and C5's were something to see! anyway i took my camera today, so naturally they didn't fly as much. i need to invest in a new camera... but the pic's came out better than the previous pic's taken with my phone.

they circle where i work when they come in to land. so yeah, they're low! had a formation of 4 Blue Angels go by today, can't say the warehouse was shaking, but things in the warehouse were vibrating. outside car alarms were going off. it was pretty cool!
