That was the first car I noticed when going by, I had a '70 it was originally a 6 cylinder, automatic that ended up with 283 with 10.5 to 1 mated to a Hays bronze racing clutch and a M21 Rock crusher and a corporate 10 bolt posi rear with 4.56 gears. I added a set of welded in frame connectors and a driveshaft loop for safety.
