here's my entry...day one I know Raul...that's a lot of resin! need an address to send a few kits to your marine buddy "luv the smell of super glue in the morning"

Sounds like fun... how 'bout aftermarket stuff... I have the funnycar body, blower and top hat from Competition Resins, Slixx Decals and the latest Revell Funnycar kit to build Ron Capp's 2006 Brut Funnycar...have not started - so can provide photos of all parts, etc - gives me a good excuse to build this sucker can also throw in a plastic model kit for da winner and Raul will be hard-pressed to finish this build in the time frame alotted...so he probaly shouldn't be considered the 'slam-dunk winner' as yet...

Those are some old Aardvark Model kits... but I don't think Andy Martin of Modelmartin sells them anymore... he's very active on this forum - so you may check with him good luck

I just pop the ipod in the stereo, set it on shuttle and let'er play everything from country-hip hop-grunge-classic rock-heavy metal-rock-reggae-punk-blues...etc my favorite song when removing paint..."The Stripper" by the David Rose Orchestra -
Geez...that looks like fun these Revell bike kits can really be played... very nice build, excellent craftsmanship thanx

Oh boy!...looking forward to watching you build this model. I have a few of the old AMT and Monogram Indy Car kits along with decals from IndyCal to build different versions of these Indy racers. Hope ya don't mind if i use your build for inspiration and information when I pull those puppies out and start building them. thanx curt -
By Whestlies...I assume you are referencing Whestlies White Wall cleaner. I have used this product to remove chrome...does an extremely good job of removing chrome and the clear barrier without damaging the plastic did not think of trying it on paint - duh! will give it go next time i have to strip paint thanx

Aaron...definitly looking forward to seeing some cop cars and firetrucks at the NNL West have not seen too many of these in the past, I know they will be very well recived
-
Ditto on Tamiya's Gloss Black TS-14 - best black in a spray can I've found can be covered with either Tamiya's Clear TS-13 or Model Masters Ultra Clearcoat with great results.
-
Guys, Gals and " Yuts" will bring more of their models to show at an NNL - cuz it isn't a contest. You can enjoy the satisfaction of people looking at your models without being judged. You'll see everything from straight outa-da-box stuff up to and including contest/winning builds. They are very low key with lot of interaction between builders. Most NNL's will throw in a swap meet, youth table, and have door prizes as well. I attend the NNL West every year and have never came away dissapointed.

OK... I heard this is the best stuff for removing paint from plastic... but there seems to be two types...the Castrol Super Clean ya can buy here in California that does not remove anything... and a Castrol Super Clean "Tough Cleaner" that will remove the skin from your fingers (can't buy in California) Is this available online, mail order or will it take a small visit to a neighboring state to procure? I usually don't have to strip paint a lot, but it would be nice to have some good stuff on hand when needed thanx

Wait a minute!!! I know I had been sick, but think I'm startin' to halucinate during my recovery Raul Perez...decals...and carbon fiber ones to boot?? and building a race car again... We been seeing way to much of each other...I've got the Tamiya Enzo Ferrari half built...straight outa-da-box - hopin to have finished by NNL West needed to build a Ferrari and besides my brain was gettin foggy and the eyes were crossing when working on Ms Troxels Top Fuel dragster Oh yeah I've seen that car in your new avatar somplace before... c'ya

I supervise bus and light rail dispatchers for Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority...hoping to retire by years end. Need some free time to tackle all those kits waiting to be built... -
The wrinkles will go away...do not touch or play with it!!! but be carefull - some setting solvents will melt your decals its always wise to test decal setting solvents on decals from the different model manufacturers and aftermarket decal sources note: most decals included in past AMT and Revell kits have not responded to any of the setting solvents I've used. If anyone has had success with theses decals...please give us a clue, thanx the decals included in the latest Revell releases are very nice and have responded to setting solutions

WILD RIDE...can a set of golf clubs fit in the bed? can't wait to see how you finish this 'go kart' have fun
-
Looks like fun...should be fun watching it come together I've been wanting to build a 'ratter' for awhile...guess it's time to pull that 29 ford pickup kit out and start hackin' and slammin' thanx for the inspiration

I have had great results with both, have had masking tape (Tamiya's) lift Tamiya's clear on a few occasions... Model Master's UltraClear has proven to be bullet proof...once cured it can take a lot of handling
