  1. Sweet looking chevy. I like the color.
  2. Wow Zippi, you nailed that one to a T. The white tops really works.
  3. Nice to see the old d8 in red. This whole rig is very well done and detailed. As a weathering guy, I like what you did on the D8 , it looks authentic. I like it all.
  4. That's a good looking monster there, Nice and clean. great job on the livery
  5. Beautiful Cameo, Nicely detailed engine. The color looks great on this.
  6. The base coat is straight forward. The color coats work best in light coats and 5 to 10 min between coats. The clear is a little bit more tricky at least it was for me. What works best for me is to lay 3 light coats and wait 5 to 10 min in between. For heavier coats I wait overnight between each heavy coat but 2 to 3 hours should be fine. I you coat too early you risk getting orange peel so I just leave plenty of time to let the underlying coat to cure (probably a little shrinking too ) . It polishes nicely after that but be prepared to have a dust magnet, I don’t know why but this type pf paint attar acts dust like no other paint that I have used. Here’s a bug that I recently did in cobalt blue. I hope you won’t mind showing it on your thread. As you can see even after cleaning it just taking the pictures brought some dust on it. Regards.
  7. Love what you did with this. I like the second photo, it's perfect.
  8. Thanks guys, indeed it builds quite fast, for large trim I use BMF but for window trim I use Molotow marker. It's a time saver. You have to let it set overnight though before touching it.
  9. Curbside kit from newly re -released Ford galaxie 1964. Simple, not much details but I'm satisfied with the results. I wasn't sure about the color (not factory accurate I'm sure) but I kind of like it. Hope you like it too. regards,
  10. Fantastic conversion. All this work surely paid off. Thanks for sharing it.
  11. Nicely built and painted. I had this kit but a heavy object fell on it sending it in another universe. I'll have to get another, and you're right, some heller kits are , shall we say, challenging?.
  12. Thanks Eric, When I started to build cars some 8 years ago after building aircraft for 20 some years, I thought I would build only American cars from the 50's to early 70's, they are still my main interest but as I built more and more I found myself having an interest for odd ball model, obscure or unpopular. I build whitherever pick my curiosity or interest. I like to look at them from a styling standpoint. Back then , styling was everything. Nowadays, efficiency and functionality is the thing. But I guess to each his own. thanks again for commenting.
  13. Beautiful trio. Nice and clean. I like all three.
  14. Great looking GT, although a simple kit it turns out quite nice. I have the Tamiya kit and I will have to study more before I commit to building it. And I agree TS 13 is what I use 90% of the time, I also use Alclad gloss coat for some projects, it is a little trickier to apply though. Nice choice of color.
  15. Welcome to the forum Charlie. Looking forward to see your builds. Nice one BTW.
  16. I grafted the rear part of the 50 olds from Revell for this one. Having seen one in the movie Angel heart . I liked the shape but no model is available for it except the bel air and the fleetline . Probably not accurate but I like the looks. I might re build it, though I don't like the poor fit on the top. Having the rear part of the fleetline I grafted it on the olds. regards,
  17. Welcome to the forum Stefano.
  18. Superb build, the weathering is so realistic. great job on this one.
  19. Great caddy. I like this model year, it looks so awesome in this color. Great mods the result is outstanding.
  20. Nice and clean build, I like the color, This would be after being washed after a ride in the mud.??
  21. Beautiful rendition of a classic pick up. The livery is just right. I like it.?
  22. A real nice, well designed kit. Built box stock to reflect the box art. I only added a little dust to add a in-use look. Can be built RHD or LHD but you have to planned ahead which version you want to make but the instructions make it very easy. If I had more space I would definitely put in a safari diorama. As always thanks for looking.
  23. This was build a few years ago. I painted it two tone green. Nothing added except BMF. Fast forward last year I was moving some of my models to a new glass cabinet so I left this one on the coffee table while I was cleaning the glass. I had the windows opened and a gentle summer draft nicely spread some overspray from my Windex bottle all over my Nomad, it ruined the paint instantly by leaving spots on the paint. I tried polishing compound, wax , no luck. So I did what I do when a paint job goes wrong. I disassembled it and in the purple pond it went. I re painted it to something similar to the 53 ford I did earlier since I had some paint left. The first 3 photos are before the re paint. I wanted a lighter color this time. thanks for looking.
  24. welcome to our playground Lance.
  25. that's how this kit should have look like from the get go. I wonder what happened at AMT to get this so wrong and the rest of the kit so right. You did a superb job on this. Your model really stands out.
