Was that the lifted blue one from the Moebius display at that model show? It's in a post from a little bit ago.
-
Thanks Mike. I think I'll wait for the correct release. Especially if its already lifted.

I'm kind of confused here which Moebius Ford truck kit has the leaf springs on the front? As far as I can see the 1970 F-100 kit has the coil spring front suspension.

Finally got one more of my holy grails. Revell Baja Husky. Just won it on ebay and the price was unexpectantly low. Missing decal sheet but man, I was never expecting to get one this inexpensive.

MPC 1/20 Highjacker 4x4 van
Mike C. replied to Mike C.'s topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I gave it some tube bumpers using some 6mm styrene tubing. I painted the shocks to look like Rancho units the carpet I'm using this time is fabric rather than that flocking from last time. Still got a little detailing to do on the body.- 69 replies

MPC 1/20 Highjacker 4x4 van

This project has been sitting dormant for some time now. After I came to the decision that the blue interior sounded better on paper than it came out, I decided to begin changing it to the original brown that I had planned. Still got a ways to go on that but here's a mock up of what I'm getting towards. I completely forgot about these tires that I had in the parts bins and they fit Casey's five slot mags perfectly.- 69 replies

We had one of these when I was growing up. It was the typical met. green color but it was a little later one-piece windshield type. It had a flathead 4 with that PTO setup (multiple sticks) and we mainly used it for a snowplow. I don't ever remember it being on the road. what became of it I have no idea.

Looks great John! I hope mine comes out 1 10th as nice looking. Thanks for the tip on the cowl. You're right, those headders look like a bit of a daunting task. Gonna be a while until I get to this build. I have at least 10 other projects on the bench in front of this one. I always liked the wheels on these. Kind of reminiscent of the Torq Thrusts we saw on the musclecars in the 60s and 70s, ?
