    A good friend of mine had a nice charcoal met. one of these way back in the day. Lost it in a flood. the ins, co. totaled it and he bought it back from them with the intention of restoring it back and found the whole thing was a bit too much work. He wound up buying a bran new one.

    Shipment arrived today. Lotus type 33 and some paints. Never built a formula 1 car but this one captures the era of racing I really like. How does the old saying go. When sex was safe and racing was dangerous. The Lotus looks a bit of a daunting task with tons of small parts and I still have tons of stuff on the bench before I ever get to it. Funny thing about the Tamiya model, no plastic shrink wrap. No attempt to seal it at all. I suppose they're going green or something.

    Man. They will slap the name Shelby on anything these days. Talk about beating a dead horse, Let the guy rest in peace already. The name has lost all meaning.

    I believe Fireball resin works has some of the steelies (with the 8 lugs if I'm not mistaken) and also some tires that might be close to the right ones. This light bar probably isn't the right period but it's something. Classic Emergency Flasher Bars Parts Pack (modelroundup.com)

    I bought several of the Revell GMC big game kits just for the suspension every time the go on sale at HL.
