  1. Chaz, the obvious display of workmanship seen in your cribbing construction bodes well for your results with the actual car project. Looking good! Thanks for sharing! Jim D.
  2. Welcome to the forum Kat. Perhaps as a Brit you'll recognize my reference to the Luddites when I disparage every other type of social media! LOL Jim D. Tennessee born, but Texas raised!
  3. Buying this kit if for no other reason than to have those SWEET headers in my parts box inventory!! Sweet looking model I don't recall having seen this one when first released.
  4. Love the Dio...Very effective use of the figures really brings it to life!
  5. Welcome back to the hobby and to the forum. Remember, if you are building for yourself the only opinion of your work that matters is your own. Good looking work so far.
  6. Andrew, I have really enjoyed your posting on Jim Clark's Lotus 25. Clark was my first driver hero when I was a pre-teen. I was in junior high when I found out he had been killed. I remember I was taking final exams that day. Needless to say, I didn't do well on them.
  7. Looking really sweet Bob. Following this one! Jim Dodson
  8. 'Piker!' We are in triple digits already in North Texas LOL But, Carl, I remember when spending summers with my grandparents in Blount County how oppressive the THI can be in the Volunteer State!!
  9. Welcome aboard Anthony. What part of the beautiful Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are you located?
  10. The patinaed finishes on the structure had me initially thinking these were reference photos! Excellent work. Well done!
  11. Owned a late first generation and it was hands down the best twisty roads fun I have ever owned!
  12. North Texas...July...Nuff Said LOL Thank our Lord for inventing Air Conditioning! But my old bones love this time of year versus them cold days.
  13. Perhaps I overlooked it, but for me (tool wise) a quality set of tweezers are a necessity, especially as I age and the digital dexterity gets shaker and shakier. I use needle point tweezers for almost every part placement. The tweezers designed for decal placement are also a welcome item in my model building toolkit. Welcome to the hobby and this forum. My heartfelt recommendation is to adhere to two simple rules... 1. Build for yourself! If you're happy with the final results, you've done a good job. 2. Have fun!!! Jim Dodson
  14. Ditto what Zippi posted! Jim Dodson USAF Veteran
  15. Welcome to the forum, Scott. Like the truck. Tell us about the wheels and tires you used, please.
  16. Great job on both models, Looks terrific! Care to share details on the red paint finish? Thanks for posting these.
  17. I contracted encephalitis in 1963 and was pretty much a knot on a log for over a year and then suffered from the brain damage for the rest of my life...at least that's what my friends and family say, and I welcome the excuse LOL!
  18. Welcome aboard the forum Shawn! Looks like you are already turning out some fine-looking models. Jim Dodson
  19. Great looking diorama! Do the American Diorama figures come pre-painted?
  20. Maurice, first of all Thank you for your service. Those are sweet racers! Your craftmanship shows well. Well done!
  21. Sean, my rickety old memory says that vintage of vans of all makes was notorious for not holding alignments and that can cause that type of uneven tire wear.
  22. Welcome Mark. Those are some sweet looking builds!
  23. I remember having a very memorable fishing trip to the Sardis Reservoir where a Gar longer than our bassboat broached along side and gave my brother and I the "stink eye"! Needless to say, that ended our fishing that day! LOL
  24. Joe, would you be in the Sardis, MS area then?
