  3. Thomas, very impressive decal work. Well Done! Happy New Year to all! Jim D.
  4. Nathan, from one veteran to another, thank you for your service and enjoy the forum. Lots of great builders post here and some of us just 'lurk' because of the pleasant exchange of info. Jim Dodson USAF 1972-1982
  5. I should have been more diplomatic in my statement regarding the color 'yellow' on my old '71. Yours looks bright and beautiful! When I rescued mine from the used car lot its paint was beyond saving and required a respray regardless of the color chosen. My compliments on your 1:1 'stang and its awesome security system!
  6. Dennis, I am always impressed with your engineering skills. Fantastic work!
  7. Really digging the level of detail on the exhaust manifold. Cool looking Rod!
  8. Not the brightest bulbs in the box, but a mighty sweet ride! Nice job on the model!
  9. Impressive bit of work and craftsmanship there. At one time in my mis-spent youth I purchased a derelict 71 off the used car lot that needed a full rebuild and loved driving that car until I tired of the poor reliability. Foolishly had it painted in a non-factory burnt orange color as I couldn't tolerate the original yellow color. Sounds like I need to get the Revell kit and try duplicating in scale my Texas Longhorns inspired Mustang. BTW, it had a rebuilt 351Cleveland with 750cfm Holley 4 barrel without the Ram Air system. Put the Mach1 striping on it without the rear window louvers. Lots of fun when running properly, but very 'tail happy' under acceleration. Miss that car now.
  10. Thank you for your service, Scott. Love your model, the figures came out exceptional.
  11. I remember when Honda introduced their Formula One effort and all the magazine writers bad mouthed the effort, not foreseeing the engine effort would produce such positive results for decades to come. Love your model Bruce, well done!
  12. Something from the "Beverly Hills 90210 Race Team"! Looks Killer!
  13. Love your 'shop' photo staging! Oh, and that's one sweet GOAT!
  14. Ian Rousel has a cable TV show called "Full Custom Garage" and he is always slicing and dicing very disparate junkyard pieces and then figuring out how to make things fit the design he has in his head.
  15. The 'hack and see if it fits approach' to design brings Ian Rousel to mind. I like where this appears to be going, especially the roadster with the undercut front fenders leading edges. Looking forward to seeing more.
  16. Met Mr. Gant late that year waiting to board an airline flight and got to play "nascar groupie" while waiting for our flight to board. What an absolute gentleman and fine ambassador for the sport. And oh yeah your model looks fantastic. Excellent craftsmanship!
  17. Beautiful Decal Work!!
  18. 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL Have told all my children and grandchildren and one has not magically appeared in my driveway yet. Keep on hoping!
  19. I have had stress free results using a combination of Bare Metal Foil for the color separation line Using about a half inch wide piece of foil. I then use as cheap a roll of masking tape with clean copy paper to mask against overspray. Have used this technique multiple times and never got bleed through/under. Jim Dodson Rockwall, TX
