  1. What a great story, bringing more life to your build.
  2. Do you know what museum this going to yet?šŸ†šŸ†šŸ†šŸ†
  3. Went to the stores today to get another can of Krylon looking glass silver ( a really nice alternative to Revell chrome). I found no cans of Krylon at Home Depot, none at Meier store, none at Hobby Lobby, what the heck. Got home a did some internet search, apparently Krylon has been sold to Rust- oleum ( so the interweb says) and people are complaining about colors changing, formulas changing. So quick trip to eBay and found some. MAN……i can’t keep up with changing times and all these merging corporate changes.
  4. Congrats on getting into the new home and glad to see you back. Will be watching
  5. Thanks guys, but I do believe that my gray matter is getting foggy (er)🤪
  6. Another problem I was concerned with was flexing the hood and frame to align the pins behind the grill. After engine cross member, radiator and bumper the frame becomes very rigid. With the removal of the grill center section and addition of PE grill, I was afraid that I might bend or break those parts. I slotted the hinge pin holes leaving them slightly snug as an easy snap fit, but allow hood to rotate open without falling off. So far it works very well.
  7. To correct the hood to cab clearance/fit, I added a .020 shim to the bottom of the rear cab mount, which raised the cab crossmember to .187 thickness. You can also see the mount could not be attached by kit locating holes in the frame (sits slightly forward).
  8. Revell chrome paint, I wanted to use my Krylon chrome (ish) paint but my spray nozzle broke and got paint everywhere. I like the Krylon because it is a little more polished aluminum look rather than a bright shiny chrome and secondly it doesn’t finger print so bad.
  9. Little update. Got the battery boxes modified per Ron’s advice and chromed. Polished the aluminum exhaust tubes, interior paint (want it to look like brown leather), dash is about ready to apply gage panels. Air canisters are painted, let dry for a few days then paint chrome clamp rings and detail them out.
  10. Pleasure to watch your builds.
