Well I just resin cast mirror heads and it worked, surprisingly

Trying out resin cast…or I just poured a bunch of red stuff on a good set of mirror heads and they a permanently encased forever in red stuff. See how this goes for the very first time.

I think I saved the grill and hood, no visible damage, let glue dry and check later. PE stuff is nice but man it is so hard to work with.

My suspension and tires/ rims arrived today.

Very interested in your results, the big downside for me, do they finger print after painting.

Just wondering, the front of the bus (hood and fenders) could you have used a pickup truck kit as a donor? If so, I can think of all kinds of cool builds using the school bus body.

Well this got ugly, dropped my hood and knocked off two grill bars. Managed to get everything apart, reglueing the bars in now. See if I can save the hood, I do gotta spare hood if need be. I flippin hate redos

Seen these on YouTube, got a couple yesterday to try out. They work great, applied glue to the recess, picked up light, set in position and it released very well. If they get dirty, just wash and good to go again. Small and large ends.

Bought this Alfa Centauri cab long hood White Road Boss kit today and may use it on this truck, just not happy with the crappy hood fit on this Road Boss.

Glad to hear there is a recovery plan Tom and I agree, most of us are not speed builders, we always build our best model until we start our next build as our skills evolve. I enjoy sitting in my hobby room and making stuff and dreaming up new projects and hanging out with you guys. Glad you are back and moving forward, be watching.

Great progress

Thanks Steve, and the bench, I get frustrated when I can’t find stuff or when I lose parts, so I keep my bench somewhat organized, although I have been spending some time/researching on ways to better organize my spare parts. I did manage to get a a Tamiya paint rack from a closing hobby shop, all my spray cans, extra glue all fit in the rack now.

Wasn’t sure where to post this, and wanted the guys here to know. Ron (Biggu) is in the hospital with chest pains, I know he has communicated with a couple of you guys but I been chatting with him tonight, other than the great hospital food, he seems in good spirits. Cause and treatment not identified at this time.

What height was your outer frame? I was thinking .500 frame height.

After a lot of digging, found a picture (s) of how the rear suspension and crossmembers are mounted/constructed. This frame in the picture is a double wall frame, don’t think I will attempt that.

I’ll take two please, curious about new Mack model truck pricing and if they will mold the Mack in the US.

OMG, Tom, that is some tuff stuff to deal with, praying for ya, that bench is good therapy, be watching your builds.

My vision for this build is not an oil field rig as most C500 serve but as an extra heavy duty, heavy haul truck pulling a 3axle lowboy with a 3 axle Jeep with a 2 axle stinger. I have wanted to scratch build this trailer for some time but wanted the perfect truck connected to it. So this is where I am going. I actually have blueprints for this trailer/jeep and stinger. Now waiting on parts from Canada, not sure how long that will take, so back to the KW 925 to finish up.

Need some help, way out of my knowledge zone on this build. I am thinking about a winch for behind the sleeper with a cabinet style headache rack and I think there is a winch under the front bumper on this truck . I can rebuild 8,000 or 10,000 lb winches on my Jeeps. Know nothing about these really big winches. Looking at 3D Concepts site but no idea what winch for the back behind sleeper or under the front bumper. Need some help.
