  1. Enjoy your builds, you don’t need to buy no stinking kits, you just make your kits. 🏆🏆🏆
  2. Wow, does that look the business and tell a great story.
  3. Breaking more rules. Tried making a visor a couple different ones, not anything I liked. Could not find any aftermarket visor that fits either. The goal with this truck is an updated old truck so sticking to the theme, I found this visor. Glueing visors on always gives me stress so I tried a bit different way. Drilled .040 holes in the visor ends, then aligned on the cab and drilled. This allows me to glue pins in place and it is already aligned. This visor also allows me to use later model cab lights and keep the roof clean. now some finish work and off to paint.
  4. Had to get a little creative to align the two large gages over the steering column, but I think it works.
  5. Ran into this tip on another model site. Guys are using this narrow tape for radiator clamps and also intricate stripping on their builds so I ordered some to experiment with.
  6. Brian, I use a product called Simichrome, have used this tube for 30 years as a toolmaker to polish aluminum. The aluminum exhaust stacks will be taller and have a 45 degree bevel, I think🥴, they will also be polished. The tubing is 1/4 inch which will give me about a 6 1/4 diameter in scale inches.
  7. Playing around with an idea that is not a semi truck for a change.
  8. Option B looks the business, from a guy who knows little about these trucks. But adding chains helps tell the story. Man this is a cool build.
  9. Experimenting with some aluminum tubing and using a brake line tool to bend them. Would like to have polished aluminum pipes (bit larger diameter to make a statement of what’s under the hood) on this truck. Custom dash built and painted, working on PE dash parts.
  10. Your yellow bumper lights, are those 1/2 round beads or did you cut a round bead in half? I really like the modern look of that modification.
  11. Any thought about opening doors, that would allow very good site into all that detail?
  12. Been thinking Brian, usually a builder will try to build his next subject better than his last build. What are you building next to out do this build? You have set that bar mighty high on this build.
  13. Thanks John, progress will be slow for awhile
  14. Tired today after two doctor appointments, but came upstairs for awhile this afternoon. Going off the rails again on this build. The dash is in two pieces on this kit, so I am going to make a slightly larger flat dash and add PE dash gages, kinda custom look I hope. Second: you guys have seen those really tall shifters those custom trucks have? I think this truck needs one 😉😜
  15. Steve, you are really doing this kit justice, well done.
  16. Got a little something done, sanded cab and finish color.
  17. Sure is coming together nicely, outstanding build
  18. That is some very fine building right there, well done
  19. Nice progress on this big rig.
  20. Nothing better than black and chrome rig, she’s gonna be sweet.
