  1. Great subject matter, will be watching.
  2. Using 1/4 aluminum tubing (6.25 scale inches) , got the bends correct without flat siding the tubing. Got the crossover tube made, now to make the frame hangers and must clear the driveshaft and tank mounts.
  3. Got a rear light bar made up and will also be attachment point for the rear fenders in the rear. mockup for fit.
  4. Oh I am sure that would be easy enough to do, also considered glueing a brace from the bottom of the center portion back to the opposing underside to pull the warpage out. I have seen that brace on trucks before. But the warpage was in two planes to challenge the brace idea.
  5. Wow Steve, huge improvement, well done.
  6. Those details will pay off big time, well done.
  7. Finally got the bench done and all organized (well mostly, I keep seeing more to organize) so getting some bench time. Couple changes to this build and keeping with the mild custom vision. First I decided to use the stretched frame that I built first. Second is the rear fenders. I purchased a set of 3d printed fenders but they are warped and seem to not be able to straighten them, so I modified them for this truck by removing the center piece that was warped. You can see the warpage on the uncut fender. I think this will work.
  8. Wow, now that will be a serious build right there. Will be watching
  9. Wowser, that is some build, well done 🏆🏆🏆
  10. Well, I worked on it Saturday but finished today. Added a new bench top to my work space. The old one split down the middle and was rocking. New top is a foot longer than the old one, but fits nicely. Added another Craftsman tool box to help organize my growing stuff. Added the side workspace last year. now to reorganize about a hundred big rig kits.
  11. Jurgen, looking at your builds just puts a smile on my face. Love the picture from the movie and your truck staged in the same manner, brings real story to your build. Well done.
  12. Oooohhhhhh man, that’s lookin so good.
  13. Where did you find one at? I have been looking.
  14. Glad to see ya back on the build, be watching.
  15. Nice clean paint line well done
  16. You guys come up with cool material/ideas for your builds
  17. Sweet, haven’t seen one of these built, will be watching.
  18. Nice build, it really tells a good story, well done.
  19. I have this kit but was undecided what to do with it, like you. Like your ideas, will be watching.
  20. Between camping trips and summer projects, I did get my new top cut down to seven feet, added the third toolbox and got everything installed. Now I need a finish on the top and then time to reorganize all my stuff. May add a center light on the main bench, as my longer bench spreads out my two lights. Gotta be ready for modeling season (when the weather turns cold in northern Michigan).
  21. Well done on the front axle, might steal some ideas from that.
