  1. Mine is the G.
  2. I would like to see Moebius expand their Chrysler Letter Series lineup with an F and a G. Also, a lot more finned bling from 1958-1961. Reissues would do, even reissues of promo tools. Then I'd like to have the 'forgotten' 70s land yachts, and with this I mean newly tooled fullsize (and I do mean fullsize) stuff. Also, Soutchik bodied Delahaye anyone? Anyone?
  3. You would need to buy a lot more than one each. A lot.

  5. I'm not saying it doesn't happen at all. But it happens remarkably rarely considering the numbers that were chucked out.
  6. I know it as zinc pest and it is actually a quite well known phenomenon. Many old toy soldiers suffered from it and sadly it wasn't uncommon with old Märklin locos either. Luckily it has hitherto eluded me, but I'm just waiting for it to occur on some of my diecasts. The explanation that it is caused by an incorrect alloy recipe is correct. Sadly it will pass initial quality control and the effect occurs only long after the items have been cast. That this rarely happens with old British diecasts should tell you something about the care and attention that went into their manufacture.
  7. So this is what they hid behind the black curtain? I IZ DISAPPOINT
  8. Whether it's pretty, we know when it won Le Mans. Until then, it's just a car.
  9. I had mentioned the Jo-Han '58 - '62 Caddies, which were all four doors.
  10. My mistake. It's a 1970. Forever butchered the '70 LTD tool afaik.
  11. I just remembered that I once also had a very warped 56 Chevy Bel Air 4-door hardtop with green tinted windows, no interior and tinplate chassis. It was molded in cream, two-toned with red paint and had separate, chromed rb and fbg, as well as correct wheel covers. I have no idea who the manufacturer was. PMC?
  12. The Del Rio is a two-door though, no? I already mentioned the '91 Caprice and subsequent Impala SS, they were made by Revell. The Chrysler 300 was made by AMT I think. Was that Chrysler Cirrus made by Brookfield?
  13. Do we already have a list for these? I couldn't find a related thread. I'm making a start, but I bet this is incomplete/full of errors. 14. It's lovely, honest. I'll do a review on that one.
  15. I'm really doing a sterling job downsizing my plastic kit collection.
  16. Reduced to only ca. 2,000 unbuilts and 30 odd builts. However, to compensate, my diecast collection is growing. Now ca. 150 1/24s, 200 1/18s and several 100 old Dinkys, Corgis, Spot-Ons and now several Sikus. I guess I'll sell a lot more kits in the near future and buy more diecasts. I enjoy working with metal more, than I do with plastic and meanwhile a lot of the cars I want models of are available as diecasts.
  17. Sadly I can't keep up with you guys, and not by a narrow margin. So I got me this for cheap. Instantly turned around the tyres to make those gaudy whitewalls disappear. I was honestly surprised a bit by what a chunk that Chevy is. It really occupies some real estate. Stay tuned, this is going to end up in the Diecast section, for some serious pimpage.
  18. I think it was initially done as a promotional for Anheuser-Busch, in a similar vein they did the equally crude 1/20 scale beer wagon with Clydesdale horses. I guess the "crudeness" was actually meant to add rigidity, so they'll sustain their intended use better. This is a lamp with one of the AMT wagons: I've seen smaller, round lamps with the Model T van inside, but can't find an example atm. It looks like when the A-B contract was filled, AMT released them as kits and IIRC initially even included the decals. Imagine that in our PC-ridden times!
  19. It's definitely the Autodrome de Linas near Montlhéry, France, and not Monza.
  20. https://www.youtube.com/embed/Vy8w915Z1Wc?feature=player_detailpage Better?
  21. Wouldn't be too realistic given how the DS is built.

  23. Many thanks again, Geoff! After all, it was you who put me in touch with them.
