  1. It looks like those Crown Premiums are made from the old Unique Replicas tools.
  2. Let's see. The moment I buy the diecast, Revell will do this: Correct?
  3. I am about to order empty plastic bottles to put my mixed acrylic paints in. In order to buy the right size, can someone please let me know how much paint is usually required to paint a model? What is a 'safe' quantity to mix, if the model has separate doors, like the AMT '58 Chevy and requires the valances, wheels, dashboard and various other small bits painted body colour as well? 15ml? 20? 30?
  4. Between $3-400.00 usually, depending on condition. Brilliant idea to buy and build one.
  5. There were also X-EL '68 Imperial and Cadillac hardtops.
  6. Finishing a model? Oh God, no! What's the fun in that?
  7. Guys. In the spy World everything works.
  8. Nice!
  9. Round2 would reissue each and every promo tool they still have.
  10. Not sure what your modelling skills are, because this would be a very involved project, but I'd start with a 28-29 Ford A and a '27 Ford T coupe for the body.
  11. And how many other pre-war Dodge models do you know of?
  12. Isn't the really big question here which method you would like to employ? There are at least three 'classic' ones. - Barris - Winfield - Hines There are more, but those are the classic ones I know of.
  13. That '68-'74 Econoline would be such a no brainer, would it not? Dave Metzner, do you read this?
  14. Why not?
  15. The kit also came in police flavour. I have that one.
  16. Barris Rickshah, Popcorn Wagon, Chuck Wagon, Gridiron Grabber, Hard Hat Hauler, etc.
  17. A proper Marcellus & Borsch Winged Express. OK, with the amount of scratchbuilding necessary, it can hardly be called building a kit, but that would be my last choice.
  18. Do we have the 77-79 L33/L35 engine somewhere?
  19. Plus parts for stock and push car versions. And it's the latter for me. Too few period push car kits out there anyway.
  20. What's wrong with Dr Cranky's formidable "in the box" review?
  21. I have so many of the Jo-Han 77-79s, I'm not sure whether I really want this kit, unless some resin caster comes up with a proper 4-door body. However, I could use the underpinnings of the Revell for a Jo-Han if I cut the bonnet open. Do we know which engine is in the Revell kit? AFAIK the real 90s Broughams only came with either the asthmatic 307Y, or the SBC, reflecting Cadillac's target clientele being an average of 92 years old at the time.
