Except for the cheap plastic trim, I'm still fond of the 80's body styling. I had a friend in high school that had a 74 Caddy with a 500 in it!

I may have to try that. I have a can that I used to simulate an epoxy floor, for my garage diorama. I can always spray another color over it, to match the interior. I could tell you masked off certain areas, by how sharp and crisp the lines are.

Does anyone make decals to turn this kit into a Roadrunner? That's what I want to attempt with this kit.

That looks amazing! The color is perfect for this build. Is that embossing powder carpet? I'm jealous of the precision and the crisp lines. My carpet never seems to look that good, no matter what I use.

I love the color and the look of it. I actually do like the insert as well, but it almost looks like it belongs on a car with a vinyl top.

I kinda like the Coupe Devilles and Fleetwoods in the mid eighties (like the hearse in the Ghostbusters movie with the female cast)

Help in disassembly of a built model
ncbuckeye67 replied to slusher's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I've had success brushing Goo Gone on glue joints, and letting it penetrate for a few minutes. Then using an exacto knife to gently separate the parts. Make sure you wash everything with Dawn, before you store the parts. It does affect paint, but I'm not sure about chrome. -
So does the convertible Caddy come with a bench seat, and buckets as an option? I have one, but haven't opened it in awhile. I'm in need of a couple 59 Cadillac bench seats, for a future project.

I don't know about getting a case lol, but I do see myself getting at least two. -
I may do that. When exactly is it?

I can definitely understand the cost and deadline issue (see what I did there,Lol). My wife is a Communications Professional, and has to publish a magazine (twice a year). This is quite stressful enough, let alone having to do this monthly or even bi-monthly. -
Looks fantastic ! Like you, I'm not really a NASCAR fan (especially since they quit using real cars). I do have quite a few kits though (even won a Salvinos kit at a show recently), so I may have to try my hand at building one or two.

Beautiful build! The detailing is amazing!

I would really like to express my appreciation for this magazine. With the demise of the other publication, it's great to see our hobby is still represented in print form. I'm only one man, but I will definitely do my part to keep it going. If it came out monthly, that would be awesome (but I'm quite happy as it is). Hopefully some day, one of my builds (contest coverage?) will make it in the pages of this wonderful magazine.

Yeah. Sometimes they're more visible after painting.... -

Thank you! i wanted to find colors that went well with the exterior paint. -
Thanks for the reply. I would love to attend one of these mega-shows, where the major kit manufacturers are represented.
