  1. I finished Harold's Cunningham Corvette conversion last year it is one of the best kits I have done. The Cobra looks great.
  2. Well the SEL LTD wheels are 1:25, I think I am going with your suggestion. I was looking at them last night and realistically stripping them and detailing looks like the best decision to me. I think anything else is going to look too small. Thanks.
  3. If I wanted you use a non trim ring wheel for the 69 Judge kit of Monogram does anyone make one that scales out? I know Scale Equipment LTD makes a non trim ring Ralley II wheel but is it 1:25 scale? I also thought Reliable Resin shows Ralley II wheels on Ebay? Thanks
  4. You know if you email Dave at MCW paints he may be able to make it up for you. Just link his sight and send him an email. http://www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/
  5. Time Machine Resin makes a 1966 Dodge Monaco conversion and his stuff is very nice.
  6. Here are a few updated pics of my 69 Motor City Resin Cobra. I am waiting for the bumper to come back from being set out to chrome and I need to do a little more foiling but it is coming along
  7. BTW thanks everyone for your input.
  8. I wish I would have known about the 66 Fairlane I am pretty close to putting this together. Thanks everyone I'll send some photos after I finish it up.
  9. I have been polishing the paint tonight and this is one of the nicest resin cast bodies I have worked on. It is too bad the AMT 69 Cobra fastback is so limited on detail as far as chassis and underhood is concerned.
  10. I think Seymour paints makes an aerosal can of it. I will probably need to order online. Thanks
  11. The multiple pictures of I have seen I think the AMC blue looks more like a teal.
  12. I am going to start building a 69 Jo-Han Rambler SC with the 390. The engine color is metallic blue. Does anyone have recomendation of a close match from Testors or Tamiya to match AMC metallic blue?
  13. Look forward to seeing your accomplishment
  14. I am in the process of doing the transkit on the 69 AMT Cobra with Motor City Resin Casters formal roof body. The paint color is Champagne Metallic it is from MCW paint. I must compliment Jeff's body and how right on the body looks compared to the 1:1 car.
  15. I am building the 69 Formal Roof Cobra right now and it is like working with plastic. The kit matches up perfectly to the AMT 69 Cobra kit. The quality from Jeff and service is fantastic.
  16. I know the Testors Pro Street Rambler SC Scrambler has a photo etch sheet for the side markers and the emblems. Does the Johan Pro street Rambler have the emblems? I am trying to build a correct 1969 Hurst Rambler SC and I have the original kit with decals etc but there are no side markers and no emblems. The Johan Pro street kit is real available but I can't find a Testors kit anywhere. Thanks
  17. Did any of the resin companies ever make a correct Wildcat body with a correct wheelbase?
  18. If one would build a Comet GT from the JoHan Pro street kit or from an upcoming resin release are these the correct Comet GT wheels? I found these on Time Machine Resin's sight. They look correct. http://www.timemachineresin.bravehost.com/7071mercurydogdishlarver.jpg
  19. Thanks for all of the compliments. I used an old MPC 75 Dart kit and one of the AMT Duster (incorrect) Dart kits. The correct ralley wheels aren't included with the AMT Duster kit. It was a fun simple build the stripes btw are right on. I have used Keith Mark's decals on multiple kits these were right on for color and shape. The interior decals look great and fit those AMT/MPC kits to a tee.
  20. I didn't get the orange shag done. I used Chrysler Tor-Red paint and just used a satin finish to dull it. Color looks almost correct. Thanks
  21. Just about ready to finish up a Keith Mark's decals 1975 Dodge Dart Hang Ten. It was a special pkg that was offered by Dodge on the Dart's in 74 and 75. I really don't know how to reduce the pictures and attach them to this sight but here is a link to them. Thanks http://public.fotki.com/drodg/1975-dodge-dart-hang-ten/
  22. Over the last few years i can remember many a mainstream kit coming out that the grill doesn't look exactly like the 1:1 car like say the AMT 1972 Chevelle and the 67 Coronet R/T by Revell just to name two. I thought what we were looking at getting as a conversion using parts of the 69 Dart grill looked a lot closer to the 1:1 car than those two kits. Did we not build the 67 Coronet R/T because the grill looked a bit off? I have owned two 1:1 67 Coronet R/T's and built the Revell kit and quite honestly the grill is pretty off from the real car. Oh and the 426 Hemi emblem is in the wrong place. But I still love the kit and think it was a great effort on the part of Revell. So why again are we nitpicking? I would love to have the 73 grill you were working on. BTW
