  1. Shawn Carpenter did mine but I don't think he is doing resin bodies anymore.

    1988 Daytona

Great looking. I was working at a Dodge dealership also and probably had one or two of those as demos.
  3. His castings look like plastic. Beautiful.
  4. Well I am continuing building my Shawn Carpenter resin 1962 Grand Prix conversion on the AMT Catalina kit. I started this kit about two years ago and got frustrated with my paint job, walked away from it and decided about a month ago to go back to the kit. I have worked on the paint and now it looks pretty good. I am finished with the BMF. I have painted it with MCW's original 62 Pontiac Dark Maroon. I should have it wrapped up this next week.
  5. Looking good with the plum crazy paint.
  6. That is the one. I was wondering with the shorter wheelbase if the 65 grandprix interior would be easier to woek with.
  7. I have a correct wheelbase 1965 Pontiac 2+2 convertible body and I was wondering if the 1965 AMT Grand Prix kit has the correct shorter wheelbase as compared to the 1965 2+2 AMT kit. I know the AMT 2+2 is a Bonneville Thanks
  8. I have a couple of the HRM Corvette's. His quality is superb.
  9. Looks great and clean
  10. I will try to get some more pics with my camera this time not my cell phone. Thanks everyone.
  11. I cannot seem to find if Shawn Carpenter is still casting either. His castings were very good. Btw Thanks for the input everyone. This 62 Grand Prix is very nicely done and is a clean conversion for the AMT Catalina.
  12. I enjoy building a 1/43rd kit. The Ferrari looks great
  13. I loved building those Starter kits
  14. Btw yes it is a 55. Typo error! Thanks
  15. Yes I need to finish up the door handles with foil. I seriously just thought of that after I put it in the case! That 1960 is a 1/43 Western models kit that I built a few years ago. I replicated a 1960 Polara that I have been restoring for about 8 years! Thanks
  16. This 300 is a great kit and for a change I built it with the standard covers using corvette checkered flag decals for the center of the caps. The picture doesn't really show the caps very well. I need to use something besides my phone to take pictures! The kit goes together very well. Thanks
  17. I painted this Shawn Carpenter resin 62 Grand Prix a few years ago but never finished it. I am working on it again and spending some time getting the paint sanded and polished out. I hope to finish it in the next few weeks.
  18. Just need Keith Mark's to do some decals for those 73 Pontiacs.
  19. So 409 will remove laquer? How long did you soak the parts? Thanks everyone. I assume since wsw cleaner doesn't damage resin bodies 409 will not damage a resin body.
  20. I have a Shawn Carpenter 1962 Grand Prix I painted a few years ago with laquer and never finished it. I am going to start on it again and I want to remove the paint and try another color. What should I use to remove the laquer? I have read easy off oven cleaner will remove the paint and not hurt the resin. I have also read Pine-Sol works. Thanks
  21. wow it looks real.
  22. Great looking.
  23. Nice looking build
