  1. Beautiful!
  2. Do you want to build a GTX or Roadrunner?
  3. I think they are and their sight is active. I bought a 69 Barracuda from them a couple years ago. I received it quickly and it is great quality.
  4. Thanks everyone. I had a few issues with body fit that may or may have not occured with the standard Catalina body and interior. It could have been me also! I will finish it up this weekend and on to an original MPC 1968 Charger R/T that is replicating my 1:1 car that I had a few years ago.
  5. When I was a kid my uncle bought a new bright red 62 Grandprix beautiful car. Thanks for all the compliments. I should have bought a few of these conversions. Since they are no longer available.

Looks good. I need to finish mine.
  7. I have a few more detail items to finish and few fitting issues that I need to resolve but close to finishing after a few years of working on and off. This is a Shawn Carpenter 62 Grand Prix conversion of the 1962 AMT Catalina kit. I wouldn't even want to think how many times I have started and stopped working on this kit. It is painted correct Burgundy metallic from MCW paints. This wasn't the easiest conversion I have ever done but will end up looking good in the end. Anyhow thanks for looking.

    Wow great job.
  9. Great Job. Another great Missing Link kit!
  10. That is cool. Probably won't see another one of those built this week!
  11. Wow what a project!
  12. Looks great. I built last year the street car and I was so impressed with how easily it went together. I think the back glass was the only part that I had quite a bit of frustration with.
  13. It should look great with a white interior
  14. Cool box art now that they have posted the yellow Roadrunner
  15. MCW paints are laquers and they will go on dry. You will need to clear and then polishing out the paint.
  16. Looks great. Did you build this to replicate a real car? I was wondering why you chose wsw tires. I think they look great but the typical build would be to put red lines on it. It is a great job.
  17. Sweet. Makes me want the Modelhaus 68 Coronet R/T.
  18. It is a great build and I love the interior detail.
  19. Looks fantastic. I had a 1969 GTX a few years back in the A4 Silver metallic the same color as the platinum on the Dodges. It was an interesting silver, it had almost a green shade to it. I don't know if that comes out in the scale color or not. Great job.
  20. Great Job and I need to build the one I have in my storage!
  21. Model car roundup in the USA and Grand Prix Models in the UK for 1/43 scale European models etc.
  22. Btw I think the outside rear view mirror was optional on the 55 Chryslers. I had a 56 300B a few years ago and I believe it did not have an outside mirror. So Moebius was at least correct in not having an outside rear view mirror. I finished my 55 this year and I loved the kit.
  23. Nice build
  24. Thanks everyone for the input on the install. My plan was to put them on before I prime and paint the body and using bare metal foil after I paint and polish. I was concerned about the body curve on the 356 and having a good fit against the body. It isn't the same as installing say rocker mouldings on the side of a 1960 muscle car that the wheelbase is nice and flat. I think all of you answered that for me. I was also concerned about placing them and being able to adjust somewhat before they dry and not having damage to the plastic from the glue. I believe the answer is liquid cement. I appreciate all of your input.
