I've been using this thread by @Cool Hand to make my own chassis: -
You had me at "not traditional" ?

The Official 3D Printing Discussion Thread
RW033 replied to iamsuperdan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Would it be possible to separate (in 3D builder or ?) the front roll pan and reprint just that part and then graft that on? I haven't been brave enough to print a body yet. -

The automotive industry has almost always gone through the same cycles rotating from ICE to EV to hybrid, to some sort of alternative fuel, and probably always will. A lot of people don’t realize electric cars were around back in the 1800s

Tamiya spray cans banned in Canada!!!
RW033 replied to Bullybeef's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Going thru this at work - lots of aerosol based chemicals are no longer available for purchase in Canada, and some non-aerosol stuff as well. I heard there was some bill passed that banned certain chemicals but not exactly sure what exactly -
Wow, great job!

His stuff is definitely nice, but by the time I factor in shipping it’s way out of my budget.
-
Personally I’d experiment with different base colours
-
I think that would work, my concern is I might not be able to get it low as I want with stock frame Yes! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for!! Great job btw!

I understand what it’s supposed to look like and the mechanics of how a real chassis and suspension works - I’m looking for tutorials on how to make it myself from styrene. Think I’m realizing this is more of a lack of experience & skill than anything. Do you have a wip thread?
-
Planning on doing an extreme pro-touring 67 chevelle, I’m thinking I’ll have to bite the bullet and buy something 3D printed, I don’t think I have the capability of looking at a part and then making it from nothing
-
Has anyone come across any good tutorials on how to build a scale chassis from scratch? I suffer from LOFT and need help
-
Damn that’s slick!

What Did You Accomplish Today? (Model Car Work)
RW033 replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Interior for my ‘39 Chev coupe is almost done finally. First time doing something other than box stock. Used leather from an old car seat for the doors and dash, may remove it from the dash and just paint it brown. Seats, steering wheel, arm rests, window crank and carpets are 3D printed - door, panels are styrene -
Being how blocky the back is a person could probably build it in 3D Builder
