Any update on the Moebius '71 F-250 lifted 4x4?
Erik Solie replied to Matt T.'s topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
We stand corrected too, as only the first production run on that kit had the 250 setup. We corrected it for all subsequent runs (no dome lights or 8 lug rims for box art). Kit components never changed (or needed to). Erik -

Coming soon. Moebius 1971 Lifted Ford F250 4x4 Kit # 2567, and has some really special bits and pieces in it. Chrome "mudder" rims and tires, including a spare in the bed (on a rack), roll-bar, front bumper winch, gun rack (with irons), lifted suspension, and a very special decal set to surprise you when it gets here! Thanks, Erik Moebius- 36 replies

Only secret is to get it, I think you've got how to use it. Experience is in the past I made my own with acrylic flow enhancer (any art supply store will have this) and acrylic paint. Don't go to heavy on the flow enhancer or it takes forever to dry. Nuln oil is pre-mixed to a very usable tint, so easy-peasy-lemon-squeezie.

Moebius 1968 Mercury M100 Announcement
Erik Solie replied to Erik Solie's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Yes. There are several shipments going to Canadian distributors. If your local shop says they can't get it, they need to ask their distributor to get some. Erik Moebius -
Eh, it's just all mundane and boring work issues. Imagine it's like one of those long winded word problems from grade school (at least they were there in my day). Something like this: Fritz has three model car projects that he wants to bring to market. Fritz is a founding member of the league of one armed modelers, and has many friends and league members. Fritz hires Sven to help him on these projects, as Sven is very talented and has done great work for Fritz in the past. But Sven only eats Durham wheat strudel on Tuesdays in Smarch. So to cope with the global strudel issues, Fritz has to contract thru Johannes for extra paper for the free-range cricket enclosure that is maintained by Ole. Ole has the capacity for all this, and sees an opportunity to improve efficiency of production for Fritz. Fritz likes this idea, and wishes to implement it in these four three projects. What is the coefficient between how much will Fritz's sales go up by for implementing Ole's improvements verses the ratio between Sven's strudels and Johannes's free-range cricket ranch expressed in Dainish Kronner?

Moebius 1968 Mercury M100 Announcement
Erik Solie replied to Erik Solie's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
That's a Model King decision. If they are out (I thought they still had some), I know that Pegasus Hobbies still has it. -
Yes. Hope to get these back on the market as soon as we can. Maybe January? I'll be posting an "official" announcement as soon as we have more particulars available.

Moebius 1968 Mercury M100 Announcement
Erik Solie replied to Erik Solie's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Depends on how many we get in the spares box from production. Container is being unloaded at warehouse today, so should know soon. We've actually replaced the old ones with the new ones in the tooling, so future production of all the Fords that use this sprue will now have the corrected hubcaps. Erik Solie -
Any new info on the Moebius '67/'68 Chevy pickups?

Ok, guess I should put these up here as well. Finally, our takes on the 1965 Nova get not one, but two kits. These should be available in a few months, so hopefully no long wait for you. New 1965 grille for both. The SS Coupe should have tampo whitewalls on the tires. For those playing along at home, your stock # bingo cards should now be full for kits 2320~2324 (all five of our kits for the Chevy II's) What could be next????? Erik Solie Moebius Models

Model King will be getting a bunch of them too, but it's not a MK exclusive. They're getting the Strickler AWB Dodge which should also be coming soon. Before the wrecker, but not by much. When the wrecker sells out, we'll be making more! -

Hopefully we'll have them around mid-September. So many things need to line up for no delays to happen and it seems like it's always something. Port workers strike, new pandemic, zombie apocalypse, take your pick! Up for pre-order now on the Pegasus Hobbies site (sorry, USA only). Will be shipping when they get here, whenever that is. Model Roundup is already down for a grip of them, so they'll be getting them asap too. Erik -
Moebius Wrecker Truck Announcement
Erik Solie replied to Erik Solie's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Not so sure on this. ALL wreckers (unless it's mounted in a standard pickup bed (which can be done)) were generally ordered as cab only units, and then Napco, Holmes, whomever would chop off the last bit of the frame rails to mount their own proprietary bed. What the cab chassis is (250/350 2x4/4x4) is largely up to the builder. PTO mounts are all over the place depending on preferences. Many of the wreckers we looked at were 4x4's. But yes, it could also be built up with the twin I beam fronts if you've got the spares. You'll need to come up with your own PTO though. -
