  1. Dang! I got my hopes up that it would all be the 1998+ style but I guess I'm happy enough with just the newer body.
  2. I am definitely interested in that S10, the only question I have is if they updated the dashboard while they were updating the grill or if it is stuck with the 1997 (I think) and down dash style.
  3. Funny thing is that General Motors themselves had a similar thought process. Except in that case, it was a Firebird with a Ferrari V12 stuffed into it. The Pontiac Pegasus, something I still find hard to believe was made.
  4. I hope this is relevant. I'm making an assumption that the way Mattel makes Hot Wheels is applicable to model chrome.
  5. If you have the URL, you can try the Internet Archive to see if they have a capture. Just give "Wayback Machine" a google
  6. I can't help but wonder if the Stranger Things Blazer was scanned off a real truck, hence the differences between that and the Deserter. Maybe I'm wrong on that one. If that is how the industry is working these days, models become more and more exact could be an issue when kit bashing with older and less perfect models of the same car.
  7. I'm building the same kit in coincidentally the same color as a Demolition Man Cutlass and I just have to say, WOW! I hope mine looks 1/10th as good as yours
  8. On Explorers, it seems like the only people that made an Explorer in a scale that wasn't weird (I.E. 1/20) were AMT. They gave us not one but two second gen Explorers which may or may not be useful to the original poster's needs. Also, how did AMT justify having two toolings for a frankly boring SUV in their line-up?
  9. Is there an archive out there somewhere of the old Street Rodder magazines with the Modeler's Corner section? Admittingly, I am just curious what was in them. Thanks
  10. Hi, how do you do custom pinstriping? Let's take a Trans Am SE for example, the pinstripes that go all over the car are very thin on the 1:1 car and at 1:25 scale, they would be extremely tiny to paint on. The only way I could see doing it is if you had decals for the pinstripes but if you don't have those, I can't see any other way around it. That being said, how would you do this?
  11. I can't help but feel like the primer should go with what's going on top of it. White primer for light colors, grey for darker ones. That's what I do anyway
  12. I'm sorry for bumping an old thread but where did you get that Left hand drive Dash from? Thanks
  13. Because of this thread, I fell down a rabbit hole of trying to find the "true" color of the Futura and frankly, I have no idea. My best guess is an extremely light green, almost white? Some pictures it looks white, others white with a little green, others are fully seafoam green. Also, unrelated to paint color, I realized how little George Barris changed from the Futura to the Batmobile. That being said, you probably could convert the Polar Lights Batmobile back into the Futura.. Only question would be what Ford to use for the chassis. Rambling aside, Car looks great!
  14. Thanks! Thanks! The color is actually cheap Acrylic Artist paint. The only problem I have with it is because it's so cheap, it feels like it takes 1000 coats to get that nice, deep Maroon over the red primer.
  15. Looking at that thing, I can't help but see some Karmaan Ghia in the roof and trunk area. Maybe my eyes are biased though.
