No work today so I had some bench time this morning,,cobbled up some hood hinges.(I'll add more detail, reinforcement angles later) and started modifying the KW radiator into something close to the Mack along with the CAC ,built up some more putty on the hollow air bags,,,should be enough now to contour to shape. -

Some progress ,,,,painted engine parts yesterday and assembled some today, wiring and fuel lines will be added too,,,,,the engine did not have the EGR cooler and related parts nor a VGT turbo like the picture so I'm just running with what I got ,,I will be fabricating a CAC though and modifying the Revell KW radiator/fan for the Mack.I also started fixing the hollow air bags and frame rails -

From what I was told the MP8 engine kit was derived from an Italeri Volvo kit,,,not sure which one but it originally was a Volvo D13 engine ...I could probably use more like the charge air cooler, radiator and fan but most if not all Italeri kits are 1/24th ,,,, like this one which I've never seen anywhere -

I got the MP8 today from ST Supply,,,looks fantastic! Comes with a transmission too but mines using the Allison ,probably start building that up Friday...and I'm going to fix the hollow air bags and fill in the frame rail gaps,,,plan on running air lines to the bags, brake chambers ,etc -
yeah I screwed up there ,,,and I should have known better even back then

More boom pieces assembled,,I will probably prime and paint all this stuff ,,, waiting on the MP8 Mack engine from ST Supply then assemble that and do engine/chassis/cab fitment . Going over the Revell KW frame,,the air bags are molded beautiful on the outside of the frame, ,,insides are hollow, debating whether or not to deal with it ,,I could probably fill with putty and sand or lop it all off and get something aftermarket .
