  1. ...........well in between all the rain and earthquakes this week some progress has been made ! Cab and hood mounted ,dump body mounted temporarily to check exhaust height.Luberfiner and hoses run, power steering lines run and I cobbled up a reservoir , Farr air filter and inlet piping to turbo fabbed up and installed , exhaust piping and muffler nailed on .Batteries-cables, drivers side fuel tank and fuel lines next
  2. Thanks! Yep,,,AMT ,dump body from the Autocar kit ,,,and yes even the 1:1 cabs were similar
  3. I like it! I've done a few 1/35th armored stuff and enjoyed building ,, sort of a conundrum though,SUPER detail but then usually no engine/drivetrain to speak of

  5. Did a little today,installed the Detroit ,decaled and clear coat,,finished the interior tub .......home brewed decals on this one too
  6. A little more progress on the Reo,,,cab,hood,dump body and chassis shot..decals next. Chassis ready for engine install and run air lines,etc . Haven't made up my mind on tire/wheel combo yet
  7. Yeah,the painting and black/white stripe decals were definitely a challenge !
  8. She's done ,lights,tires/wheels,mudflaps,airlines,,,,,too long to fit in my display case hooked to the Transtar though! ...........I need to put another deckplate on the tractor too
  9. I had no problem with that with using Microsol,what I was referring to was I make my own decals with an Inkjet printer and after printing I spray the paper with Tamiya flat clear to set the ink
  10. ...........bounced off the Diamond Reo and back on this,,,shot the clear,,,good thing I have ventilation! Installed the tandems and landing gear ,,,run the air bag and brake hoses next

  12. ...............frame stretched,,walking beams and diffs nailed on,,dump body fitted....6-71T test fitted .......flotation front tires and wheels in the parts pipeline
  13. Looks great Zip...I watched your video on it ,,that silver almost looks like the Antique Silver I used on the Transtar

  16. lol! you got me pegged Gary ,, I see something and get a brainstorm(or brain fart) and I'm off on another tangent! I'll see the Reo/dump to completion..... I'm still decaling the 53ft trailer in between ,,,almost done then clear it and finish assembly
  17. I was checking out Guaranteed Towing's Facebook page (I'm thinking about doing one of their wreckers) and found a pic of them at Englishtown Diesel Truckin' Nationals years ago
  18. I used white decal paper for the IH logos ,,I have a pack of both white and clear paper I got on Amazon for Ink jet ,,pretty good results with it so far,,I spray 3 light coats of Tamiya flat clear over them and let it sit a day before using
