  1. Looking for Reid's 72 Pro Stock Duster decals,,,I think Slixx did them wayyy back ...not sure
  2. ...........was pondering my next build all day while working outside,,,lol yeah I know I said maybe a truck,,maybe Ray Barton's SS/AH Dart ,,,but then I remembered why I got the Demon kit in the 1st place,,,so tonight I got this pile on the bench ?
  3. Being retired I have all the time in the world,,,lol ,,,actually I'm only in the workshop a few hours at night and when I can't work outside around the house
  4. 68 Road Runner to GTX conversion done,,my only regret is that this wasn't a JoHan body with more correct proportions .I'm using my new backdrop kit from STS Decals ,,,looks better with this than on my slobbered up bench mat ! The air cleaner pie pan is incorrect,,should be Super Commando ,,,,don't have or could find any,,,Fred Cady might have made them ,,so instead I used one of his 440 Magnums ,,,for a Dodge and the last pic is when I realized I forgot the drivers side mirror! lol ! On to the next build...... maybe a truck,,,or maybe the Ray Barton SS/AH Hemi Dart ........hmmmm
  5. Got mine on Tuesday ,,good stuff inside!
  6. Nice build! I still need to do mine !
  7. I had ordered some decals early April ,,never got them,,sent emails and text messages,no reply,,unusual because Bruce usually responded within a day....they showed up the other day with a note from I guess his wife saying "I hope I got this order right,,,Bruce passed away a few weeks ago "
  8. That thick resin cab makes me want to start my Fleetstar build....... maybe ,,,lol
  9. ...........BMF applied ,tail light panel painted out ,interior bits painted,,,had to use 69 GTX seats ,,different pattern but they'll do
  10. 68 Road Runner to 68 GTX conversion update > body shot with MCW 6753E Dark Green Metallic enamel with hardener (this is a match for 68 Plymouth GG1 Dark Green Metallic) .I was going to use MCG Vinyl Top Tape kit (which is only available in black or white ) but instead chose to go with MCW 1350 Black Texture Lacquer after applying Evergreen #101 styrene strips for the seams. After that had dried I shot it with MCW 6851 Dark Green Metallic lacquer which is a darn close match to the dark green vinyl top option that was on my car. I also sub assembled the inner fenders/core support/firewall and lower K frame (which will be painted black along with the torsion bars and shot that body color with overspray. Sub-assembled the 440 and shot that with MCW 1406E Chrysler Turquoise enamel . Next up will be painting the interior green with light and dark green seats ,then BMF the body and paint tail light panel insert Argent Silver . I'm also going to use the 8-3/4 rear from the AMT Duster kit instead of the Dana 60 ,,I'll have to narrow the 8-3/4 a bit.
  11. ............some pics,,,has to be wet sanded yet and another round of primer. The front grill I just stuck in there to check for fitment,,,I had to file the inner part of the fenders to fit it,,the 3D grill should have been more rounded on the headlight surrounds ,,not much I could do there but get it to fit the body
  12. What I do need though is an 8-3/4 rear can't find any 3D ones ,,,,the AMT 57 Chrysler 300 has a nice one but........
  13. I haven't been able to get anything from Keith Marks ,,,I got some stripes from STS and photo etch from MCG for a 71 that I'll use for the side GTX emblems
  14. I nailed the rear trunk lid and tailpanel in and fitted the front for the grill and shot some primer on it,,,after I cut the lawn today,it fit pretty good considering ,,,I was going to make the trunk open but the thing is too fragile,,I'll post some pics tomorrow
  15. They are pre drilled machined aluminum from Scale Repos Plus ,he might have a website but I found him on Ebay > Scale Repro's Plus | eBay Stores . I have the the Slixx decals for those too! I started Daniels car ,,in the process of back-halfing it ,,,got side tracked and doing a 68 GTX out of AMT 68 Roadrunner right now . Oh and most of the SS/AH Hemi cars use this setup for the distributor >> I have a few of his distributors without the vac advance I was going to just shave it down and make a drive setup like in the pics or use a Mallory style dist
  16. This will be my project for the next month or 2 depending upon outdoor activities and the weather! ... AMT 68 Roadrunner conversion to 68 GTX with 3D rear trunk lid and finish panel, GTX grill and GTX interior from Shapeways,,,try and build it like my 1st car ,,,,,that's me on the way to the Prom ,,,68 GTX,, 440 /Auto with a 6 pack I bought used,,Hooker headers,,Ansen Sprint wheels triple green car!
  17. Sox & Martin kitbash 64 Comet is done,3 kits used AMT 64 Comet Caliente curbside for the body,Revell 64 Fairlane for the 427 side oiler and some other bits and the Moebious 65 Dyno Don Comet Cyclone for the chassis and interior . Had to make the headers from solder . Paint is Testors with urethane clear . Slixx decals.I don't know if I got the hood paint scheme correct or not ,,they had quite a few paint variations of this car for the short period of time they ran it and I could not find a picture showing the complete top of the car paint layout .The biggest hassle was the BMF on the side trim and trying to replicate the aluminum insert .The AMT Caliente body wasn't the greatest as far as crispness of the mold
  18. The Caliente kit is for the body,,that kit is a curbside model,,so everything else is useless,,,The Thunderbolt kit is for the correct 427 and trans ,the Dyno Don kit I'm using for the chassis pan / suspension,,I could have used the Thunderbolt, but the 65 Comet chassis fits good with just some minor alterations . The Dyno Don kit uses an SOHC 427
