She's done,,,did some light chalk weathering,,,built up one of Jamie's (Moluminum) 4-71's I had as a rebuilt unit and stuck it on a pallet made from coffee stirrers . Printed out a service manual and put it in the cab. So the back story is circa 1972,,Andy's been a road guy for for 30 years ,,likes it ,,never wanted to be stuck in the shop,,his 65 Ford was up for replacement and he was supposed to get a new one,,but he said no thanks,,,I'm gonna retire with this girl,,,,,and with that he was on his next call to a customer with a rebuilt 4-71

Nice job! I gotta build mine one of these days ,,,,she be getting a Detroit though -
Up on the bench ,another inbetweener while I gather stuff for the Ronald Lyles 'cuda Pro Stock . Johnson & Towers Detroit Diesel Allison service truck. MCW White enamel/homemade decals / urethane clear . Out of the box build with some details. I was thinking about a small crane mounted in the bed ,but this is only a single rear wheel so....... I might build a 12V-71 and put it on a skid in the back though,,,,lol !

Well, Reid's car is done ,,or my version of it ,,sort of a tribute ,, if I could have found a 72 body or a 72 tail light panel that would have been nice! Lessons learned on Herb's car helped here with using the Nova Pro Street chassis . Probably start gathering stuff now to do Ronald Lyles 'cuda ,,in the mean time I got a Moebius 65 Ford service truck next up with some Detroit Diesel Allison decals I made for it.

I did the AMT IH Scout as an inbetweener while I wait to get the Whisnant Duster decals from STS.... basically out of the box,,,threw in some details ,,,wiring,,parts bin master cyl/wiper motor/shocks/radiator ,used Fireball wheels-locking hubs and tires....made my own decals. Tru Scale Hull Gray paint left over from my ship building stints and shot with clear,,,some light weathering. Back in the 70's when I was in the Navy we had Scouts,Travellalls and Suburbans among a slew of other vehicles. I should have the Duster decals soon so I can get that puppy done.A couple of pics from the Jack Nicholson movie The Last Detail,,,,,a top 10 Navy movie!

The one manifold with the long runners came from the Pro Street GTX kit,,,the short one came from the Pro Street Nova which I am using,,it has some nicer detail with "WEIAND" molded in,looks closer to the actual one,I adapted it to a Hemi manifold base. The Lenco shifters I made from hat pins. The Lenco transmission is from Iceman -
