  7. Also people would turn and actually look over their shoulder when backing up or changing lanes (we had 'parkways' on L.I. than). As I remember..... my grandpa had a "peep" mirror the clipped on the door frame ,that went from car to car. The auto manufacturers theory here is...."we have a product people like and want, let's A} change the design so radically people won't want it. (Ford Focus) B} stop making it.( Ford Focus wagon and 5 door) or C} price it out of reach. Paul

  13. The trick is to look at the model railroad guys. they use lenses called M V lenses. They are available from .020 to .625 (5/8") and are availble in red, blue amber, clear and green. They are in the WALTHERS catalog. I use them for early side lights on 50's/60's trailers and for rear work lights on the cab back. Paul
  14. The paint is airbrushed lacquer, factory mix from Dupont ...almost 45 years old!!! The car had the Flathead Hurricane 6.I believe the ohv was available on the senior cars. Grandma died in '65 but I'm sure she'd approve. Thanks Paul
  15. Revell also did an annual 1969 the could be built as a coupe or a convertible. They show up on that auction siteonce and awhile. I did my wifes 69 ragtop from one. BUT THEY ARE PRICEY KITS as they were a 1 year issue. Paul
