I looked at that kit too. But since I set a cut off of nothing newer than 1963, the engine in the chassis is the 421 super duty Pontiac with the 4 speed. It is a drop in,with minimal mods to exhaust. Even the oil pan clears. I did remove the battery, but only to clean up the engine compartment. I ended up with the Poncho just because it is period. The Mouse didn't dominate yet! LOL Paul

Here is some more pics. Added K&S tubing to rear lights to give me a 1/32 lip, added sunken ariels on right quarter and modified some Johan 'bubble' skirts. Engine is now going to be the Supercharged 57 Ford Fairlane Motor. The Ala Kart hemi looks WAY TOO SMALL!!!! Paul

A pair of sunken ariels , cruiser skirts cutom made from Merc kit and johan 1958 Buick, interior combo of Merc kit, ertl 58 Chevy and Ala Cart. Motor is the Ala Cart Dodge Red Ram Hemi with the Caddy Hydromatic. The hood needs work... it seems too flat on top and in front, I may pancake it about 3/32 to 1/8 inch.Also I need to move bottom of trunk down a bit. Last is to do taillights same as headlights. Here is the first mods on it ,I used the nose and rear from a donor merc to get this far.49 Ford frenchrd plate mount . Motor is going to be a RED RAM Hemi with the Cad Hydromatic. Paul

It is backwards because that is how a "real" flag is. It is something I never thought about til this post. I actually went out side and looked at our flag!! Boy I was going to do the 4 car soon,now that I got the flag tip I saved!!!!! Paul

Here is the almost done I loosely used the 1970 scheme, with the 05 rear layout. Still gets the Clear coat.I did it in "Racing White" to keep with the upscale 300c/Hurst image . Paul

Go to the RESIN REALM site or DRAG CITY RESIN (ed fluck from f&f resin's son they did one. As I recall rResin Realm had a few 2 door and I think a 4 door. Paul

Gibson also does some very nice resin engines super stock hemis fuel motors, pro stock and a very nice ford y block with multiple carbs. Your LHS or better mail order co's should be able to help .the engines are pricy though.....20 /25.00 a pop. Paul
