  10. We all get modelers block!!! Generally I find myself moving to a different project or finishing an old one. Of course my hobby room has FINALLY got permanent again! Had it in old house for 25 years +, I moved to a new home and had all models and hobby room in a 10 x 10 shed. Built 10x18 room in basement and moved all there. For now no block!! Paul
  11. Lindberg has it listed #73065. TBA Lindberg and Testers are doing kits together. The Hawk Hemi is a Testers kit. PAUL

    sleeper?

WOW!!!! SLEEPER IN THE FIRST DEGREE!!!!! Almost a factory color too!!! Kind of along the lines of a moonshine runner!!! Shades of "thunder road"!!!! PAUL
  13. Here is an update. The body needs some "touch up" on a few spots, but aside from 57 Plymouth style parking lights below headlights it is inits final configuration. The Sombraros were changed to a flying saucer style.... everybody uses Caddy sombraros now days. LOL The choices of engines are 1) 3/4 race Flathead , 2) 348 Chevy with tri power or 3) the "baby" hemi from the new Ala Cart. ??????? PAUL
  14. Here is an update, I redid the scoop... blended it in with a wider flair to make it look lower. Here also is the hemi progress. The block ,heads and rocker covers are from the ertl 1970 Coronet pro street. The bell housing and tranny were cut off and the bell housing, tranny and oil pan from the 300 kit were fitted. The intake plenum and front cover assembly was grafted on. The coil packs were cut from the 300 engine and fitted to Cammer coners. Last the 300 exhaust manifolds were fitted. The accessory belts were white glued onto check for radiator clearance. The fan has to be changed to electric and the inner fenders dimpled 1/16 of an inch. The early style hemi fits prefect!!! Paul
  15. DITTO but smaller mirrors would have been MY choice ,But still an awesome custom!!!! Paul

  17. WOW!! GREAT PAINT!!!! Looks really good so far ,can't wait to see more. One note The cubic inch to weight break maybe wrong for d/gas. from 60 to 63/4 13 lbs to 13.99 lbs per cubic inch 63/4 to 67/8 it went to 11.99 lbs to12.99 lbs per c.i.. My father and uncle ran a 1955 chevy sedan with a 301 c.i.& a 3 speed in d/gas from 1961 to 1966. In 1967 moved to ss/c with a 67 Camaro 396 and the Chevy went to a 292 inline 6 for h/gas. Paul

  20. Well at least I'll have $70.00 to buy some thing else.....now that I won't get the L.A. Wrecker. Paul
  21. Thanks all, with the coupe body, the 1970 color scheme works almost perfect. The original pattern mimics the new Charger scoop and the rear spoiler gives the color break of the '70 car. The photo in the other post is the 2005 Hurst / Hot Rod Mag car. It is basicly paint and a white interior with Hurst shift handle , badges and a chip. I am playing with the Ertl '70 Coronet OHC hemi with the modern injection and ignition coil packs. Paul
  22. AH , ONE CAN STILL DREAM !!! Paul
