  1. I'll keep all posted as I go. Next step is the OZ/HURST wheels. Paul
  2. I had this idea for awhile, body and interior modified into coupe. The wing and scoop from Revell Charger (both 1/25 ) along with Charger instruments grafted the 300 dash,Charger center dash panel (chrome!) shifter and gate. Final colors are white exterior with gold stripes, gold interior with white trim. What do you all think? Paul
  3. Gotta have one!!!! Needs whide whites though!!! LOL PAUL
  4. Here are the pics,I tunneled in the headlightsand will add smaller parking lights below them. Here are the 57 vette taillights .The contour follows the 40 fender line almost perfectly!! Thanks Paul
  5. Thanks for the compliments and advise, I agree about leaving the B pillars alone. The tail lights a the 57 Corvettes, mounted in the upper end of rear fender, and head lights are now deeply tunneled in to fenders. I'll post pics this afternoon when I get home. Thanks again all!! Paul
  6. Funny. we were either ignored or one dealer told us that they make no money on a Focus sale. We have a Ford dealer 3 miles from us and ened up going 45 miles away to a dealer that bent over backwards to get use our ZX3.In the overseas market Ford sells the car as a Convertible based on the Volvo ,a van, a wagon , a 3 door, a 4 door, a 5 door and all with a turbo diesel option and a 6 spped option. Europe is keeping the tradional Focus style ,we are getting the"improved " one. untitled.bmp focus.bmp

  9. For some strange reason (market poll?) American auto makers believe we don't want ANY type of hard top or FULL SIZE convertibles.Of course I would also like to pick my options in stead of a option package. "ya gotta take da JUKEBOX AND DA CIGARETTE MACHINE IF YA WANT DA SODA MACHINE" Paul
  10. i only saw the blue car box,but I believe there are 3 different boxes. Paul
  11. This is the Revell kit that was painted in HOK Pearl Yellow Frieze... It was rubbed and foiled, after about 10 months the paint checked . Almost tossed it,but I put it in the box and it sat for almost 2 years.MATT T's 40's started me on the do it over trail. the body is chopped 5 scale inches, rear window laid dowmn to keep full size, windshield opened up at top to help perspective. The body is channeled 6 scale inches ,hood has a 1/8 inch wedge cut out to bring nose down. 39 ford headlights .Wheel openings raised up and radiused. Things to change (?) sunken rear plate, angle 'b' pillars forward slightly, sunken ariels, taillight are up in air. (the originals were 1/16 x 3/8 inch slits in fender edge). engine modified flathead, wheels are wide whites and Caddy sombraros, grill is modified 41 Lincolin. we were going for mid 50's Show car, The new color will be Coral Pearl. Any opinions??? Paul

  19. I agree, I've used lacquers from the time of the AMT cans. I've tried enamels and the new Model master Acryls, both a 50/50 for results.no bugs ...but always a hair (LOL). The only Lacquers I've had a problem with was the HOK line. One other thing that effects color variation is distance from item and air presure (metalic colors) Paul

  21. We paid $5.00 a gallon for gas in the 1st gas "shortage" after waiting in line for a few hours, that changed her mind about the car, we got $525 for trade in!. We have been looking for a twin to replace it for a few years. We found the original car we traded in about a year ago in the next county, but $30,000.00 was toooo steep for us. Paul
