  1. I appreciate that Brian. Stay tuned! Here's an update on the grille. I threw some textures on for aesthetics too!
  2. A '66 Beaumont grille is in the wings, a member of my model car club wants me to make one for him too!
  3. Amazing work! I didn't know you were working on a Beaumont grille too haha. I just started one recently and was completely unaware that you were making one until now. I hope you don't mind some friendly competition from Ontario ?. I mean that in the most respectful way possible! Your catalogue has been an overall inspiration for me to get into 3D printing.
  4. Nothing to be sorry about, we all have a good discussion going on here!
  5. I'm hoping that when I release my parts I will also include a list of parts from other kits that will be needed. The GTO kit is a recent release so it is still easily accessible.
  6. @TheBEAUMONTGURU's work is awesome and inspiring! I remember finding his posts a while ago. Also, you will not have to worry about working a 3D printer if I can get my parts on the market, they will be fully printed and ready to purchase and use.
  7. I plan for the kit to contain parts to make any trim level of the 1965 Acadian Beaumont Sport Coupe, including the base, Custom, Deluxe, and Sport Deluxe. It will include front and rear fascias as well as wheel cover styled wheels, at least for now. I will also including an instruction manual with a list of existing kit parts that can be used in addition to my parts for a full conversion, as there's no point in replicating those. For example, the AMT 1965 Pontiac GTO Hardtop kit is an excellent source for a full Beaumont interior and appropriate standard steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps.
  8. Looks great! Love the colour.
  9. I love it! Very simple and elegant. Very refreshing.
  10. Hello everyone! I've been posting about my 1965 Acadian Beaumont Sport Deluxe coupe project on the WIP section of the forum and the fascia I was designing garnered some much appreciated interest. Because of this I've decided that eventually I want to make and sell a 1965 Acadian Beaumont conversion kit for the Revell 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 Z16 kit. I do not know when I will make it available, as I haven't even designed all of the parts yet, but it will be coming! Here is the fascia thus far:
  11. Update on the fascia! It's not finished but I'm close! The blacked out sections of the grille will most likely be a separate insert to make painting easier. I haven't made those yet and they are the next big thing on the to-do list. I will likely end up purchasing my own resin printer soon. Still undecided as to whether I will be outsourcing the printing or not, but I've been browsing some stores and have found some good prices on printers and curing stations. I tried to print a grille for a fitment test on my dad's FDM printer but that just didn't cut it unfortunately. The supports were too difficult to remove without damaging the piece and the detail was all garbled up to boot. MSLA printing is just far better for minute details, so I'm going to be patient and do it right. Anyway, here's a screenshot from Autodesk Fusion with all of the edges hidden so you can see a closer representation of the real part. Once again, this is entirely my own work I've drawn up from scratch with basic dimensions from the kit and lots of staring at reference photos! Most of the dimensions of the details are estimated to the best of my ability to get the right "look".
  12. Thank you for the interest! Once I get the first prints done I will make a post with more details on purchasing them in the aftermarket section of the forum.
  13. I love this wagon. Where did you get the straight six?
  14. Very nicely built!
  15. Very cool! Where did you get the straight 6 engine?
  16. Here's another update on the grille!
  17. @TheBEAUMONTGURU Here's my progress to date on my 3D printed grille if you're interested!
  18. Thank you! That means a-lot coming from you! I found your wagon build posts a while ago and read all of them. The scratch-built grilles are very impressive, I don't have the skillset for that lol. I'm an engineering student who needs to build a CAD portfolio so I'm going the 3D printed route.
