One thing uncovered: NASCAR was popular enough when this thing started to rate it's own category, now hardly anyone posts or visits there and you can't give those kits away here or on eBay!
I check General, Under Glass, Big Boyz, car kit reviews, and NASCAR (my first love, what got me back in the hobby years ago ). Occasionally light trucks as I've posted a few. If I have time I surf the others but not consistently.
I used satin on the roof and interior but I guess it's a little too shiny? The Krystal Kleer wasn't quite dry yet I guess, I need to fix that horn! Thanks for all the comments!
Do what works for you! It's a hobby, it's supposed to be fun and relaxing. Some find they do better concentrating on one project, others have a dozen going. Myself I usually have 3 going in different stages so I always have something to work on depending on my mood, paint or glue drying, etc.
I've lately shifted gears a bit and taken to the big cars of the '30s. I've found a few at reasonable prices on eBay and begun building. This is one I finished last night. An MPC kit, the only thing I would do differently is remove the "working steering" feature that moves the wheels via the steering wheel. The parts are too spindly and bind up too easily for this to work well. A big straight 8 engine and lots of chrome make for a striking vehicle, I think. Comments welcome, thanks for looking!
