Enough of a temporary melt up here that the driveway was clear enough to take the ‘71 Skyline out for a jaunt around the driveway ( it’s a bicycle not a car). Probably gotta put it away again soon but at least it’s getting closer to spring now. 2 degrees (Celsius) with the sun out today.

Baboon spelled backwards is "Noobab" and that's a pretty fun word to say.

What steering wheel is this

It was apparently my grandma's brother's friend's car so there are no photos of it new that I know of since it wasn't even a family car, BUT there is a pristine example of this exact same car; black four-door, red interior, 6-cylinder auto, somewhere here in Ontario. It gives a pretty good look at what this car looked like brand new. -

It actually might have been somewhat fixable, had a bunch of things not happened to it. After the 6 gave out, they took the rear diff of to use in some homemade 6-wheeled bush whacker project that didn't work, so they left the car in the gully, and then apparently it was mint, body-wise. But then the neighbors kids trespassed on the property sometime in the late '70s and totalled it. 1963 Ford 300 four door sedan - 78,422 miles - automatic - 6 cylinder Sorta ran when parked; needs a little TLC to get her on the road again $6,500 NO LOWBALLERS I KNOW WHAT I GOT (this is intended to be a joke not actual listing) -

Yeah the gully on my grandmas place is in more of a forest setting; mind you it was more open back when they started throwing stuff down there. There is lots of crazy cool stuff down there, found an old 60s lawn mower that I kinda restored but finding a new motor for it is basically impossible since it’s such a small machine. There’s also a couple cars down there; the flipped over remains of my grandma’s father’s 1953 Chevy 210 four door and a ‘63 Ford 300 sedan, black with red interior, sitting since 1970. Using the trunk of that thing to store all the cool stuff I’ve been finding in the gully. -

Thanks for the lead on late 50's Fords. I just found out what it's from it's pretty cool. I started thinking about certain cars the family owned or parts of other cars I also found in that gully, and the only late 50s Ford part I found was the red headlight surround from a '58 Edsel. That's what this steering wheel is from; exact match withouth the trim. Nobody in the family had an Edsel so not too sure why there are Edsel parts in the gully, maybe the original owners of the property had one. -

That looks way cool; I have yet to try something like that. -

Those three Pontiacs sure do look very nice; I built the '65 Bonnevile kit also, but as a mild custom -

That '69 Cougar with what appears to be a '69 Mustang fastback roofline sure is interesting -

My Del Ray is the newest release also, I found that the white wall inserts didn’t fit around the rims. And actuality now that I remember other than that it was going pretty well until I had to put the main components of the car together, at that point it wasn’t going well. I see yours came out very nice, just like the stock one on the box, it looks way better than mine. I built it in 2021 and it looked pretty good when I was done but unfortunately since that was the year I started building I hadn’t yet known to scrape chrome plating off so everything chrome has basically fallen off and the wheels kept falling off too. Probably inexperience was the reason why I had a hard time with it so maybe if I redo it it might be easier to build this time around. -
