  1. I remember just watching some part of a documentary, I think it was called ice on fire; anyway there was a scene where they showed a city that had been on fire and there was the scorched shell of a 1967 or 68 mustang fastback. Very disturbing.
  2. Really like the Fleetwood Sixty Special, nice build from an original promo
  3. Really like the 1960 Mercurys; got a little story about one; my grandfather, back in 1960 bought one from some guy for a very reasonable price. Drove it to work one day and when he went to leave the police were waiting for him. Turns out that was a stolen car he bought from a thief. The police believed his story but the car sat outside the police station and eventually rotted away.
  4. Wow what a crazy awesome outrageous build! I dig the creativity. GOOD JOB 👍
  5. That’s just plain cool 👍
  6. Nice colour combo with the vinyl top
  7. Pretty slick, love the colour.
  8. That’s so cool; I built this kit also, it’s a good one
  9. That’s neat; I like the Malaise Era cars
  10. Really cool; I have yet to build a Mobius kit. I’ve gotta keep my eyes out for this kit
  11. The weather today; yet again another sunny Tuesday off. Two in a row. The sun's out in full swing now but the morning was pretty calm and quiet.
  12. That's pretty much what our local one looked like; for about a year the model shelf has puzzles instead, not a trace of kits or paint or glue
  13. Days like today are really nice; the sun is out, but there's like thinned-out clouds in the sky, so the sun shines not terribly bright and it was also snowing and it looked like glitter so that was neat.
  14. These are my dad's model kits; the Reher-Morrison Drag Camaro has remained assembled since 1983, but the Z/28 1969 Camaro and "Snakebite" Shelby GT 500 1968 were disassebled before my time, and a few years ago we rebuilt them the right way A 1983 photo of a shelf in my dad's room shows these three kits on display among others lost to time. Circled on the left is the 1969 Z/28 Camaro, circled in the center is the Drag Camaro, and cricled on the right is the "Snakebite" Shelby; originally molded in yellow, and painted with a flat black hood and trunk, with a blower sticking out of the hood.
  15. On the subject of Ford Rangers, I remember I had a photo of my dad's first vehicle, which was a 1984 Ford Ranger he bought from his dad in like 1988 or so. He wasn't a fan of his truck, though, as it had the tendency to stall at red lights and then he'd be franticly trying to start it up before the light turned green. The photo is of the truck brand-new in 1984.
  16. The very first truck model I built was also my very first model altogether; the Revell 2012 issue 1941 Chevy truck originally bought for my dad's birthday that year, and he tried to show me how to build a kit but I was like 6 years old at the time so I didn't really get into it so the truck was put away unfinished for years until February 2021, when I finished it myself.
  17. Really like the Mercury Cometranchero concept; would’ve been cool in real life 👍
  18. That's a good kit, I built one too, mildly customized
  19. Just searched up on ebay to see what other 1965 issue 1959 Lincoln kts are going for, and one, exactly like mine, is $100. Mind you the windshield piece is intact and the box is in slightly better shape, but still mine is pretty great for $20.
  20. I was just thinking about that; I'd also need the '59 Cadillac hardtop from Monogram to have "The Big Three in Luxury" for 1959
  21. Yeah the price of my Lincoln totally seemed off, considering the completeness, the instructions and decal sheet were in there, but I know the windshield piece was broken in half, intentionally, but still, knowing the place I got it from and the overall rarity and condition $20 was a steal
