  1. Did some research and it turns out my Lincoln kit is the 1965 issue, also the last time this kit was released.
  2. That’s really cool I gotta get one of these
  3. I did actually get it apart, there were actually no screws or plastic rings, just some snap together prongs, however one on the rear was broken off and missing before I got it, but it doesn’t affect how the car fits together.
  4. I plan on painting it, a two tone blue and just detail the car, change the tires to wider whitewalls; make it look nice.
  5. Yeah I was not expecting the price to be that low, but that’s perfectly fine. I noticed on the original price sticker which was still on the box that someone paid a buck 65 at sears in 1959 to buy it
  6. Really awesome, I just got one today, have plans to re build it.
  7. Fairlane like the one above is a cool car I like them
  8. Getting a part time job around here is actually stupid. You simply can not hand in a resume in person. After doing it online at various stores and never getting a call or anything, I figured why not just go on in to try that way. Checked online and it said that the Dollarama, for instance, actually prefers in person resumes. No no no, that’s a big fat lie. There are 5 in town, went to two and they told me the same old story, apply online. THAT’S WHAT I’VE BEEN DOING FOR MONTHS. So I don’t know. Makes you wonder how in the world they actually hire people at these stores. Thinking about checking back with the library as it was the first place I applied to, back in April and they accept hand in resumes and are super nice about it too.
  9. Well guys I finally have a vintage kit that I did actually have on my list of ones to find, this 1959 Lincoln was only $20 and it is complete, very pleased. Planning on restoring it of course. It is officially the oldest kit I have.
  10. Patience has paid off, went to our local vintage junk shop and holy smokes there was an original issue 1959 Lincoln AMT kit for $20! Just a question as it is a snap tite how easy on a scale of one to ten would it be to disassemble the car? Kinda unsure as I don’t want to break anything since it’s so old
  11. didn't get it today, but got it a week or so ago; a 1957 Chrysler 300 in need of fixin' up. Previous owner started build but gave it a horrid black paint job
  12. That first book may be of interest to me; is the somewhere I could order it or find it
  13. I too typically use google images to find inspiration as it is the most easiest, but I sometimes use magazines; modeled my '69 Torino Cobra after the one on the cover of the Winter 22/23 issue of Muscle Cars Bone Stock and Modified, and using ispo from the August 2022 issue of Collectible Automobile for my upcoming 1957 Chrysler 300 build.
  14. Anymore room for this "Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury comic?
  15. Reading Lord of the Flies was canceled shortly after we read it in grade nine due to politically incorrect terms
