  1. Originally built this in September but was never terribly pleased with it. In the original post of this car I only had three blurry and rushed photos of it and felt it really didn't get a fair view so I did some cosmetic changes and took better photos of it, today. I put the stock front end on, as I originally had the mild custom front end, and I also "blue washed" the rims as I just had black washed them originally. Hope you like my re-do version of Show Gal '61. Also the lowered suspension brackets came loose (probably because I didn't glue them) so this thing now has optional air ride.
  2. The chrome bumpers on my '59 Lincoln kit are lookin' a little oxidized; not terrible but compared to fresh out the box chrome it could use some shine. Might be a dumb question but would I just use chrome polish or is there some sort of other way to bring the shine back to those pieces?
  3. I guess another question I have would be (if I use the DeSoto engine) what would the clearance be beneath the hood; the engine looks a little tall for a low car like the Imperial, and obviusly I'd like to not cut a hole in the hood.
  4. This could work too, as I have this kit with the engine already painted, just not assembled.
  5. A successful roof removal off my '57 Chrysler that yeilded promising results for the convertible conversion. Took me an hour or so last night to cut it off, started around 8:20pm and got it off around 9:15pm. Also cosmetically altered my '61 Galaxie as I wasn't terribly pleased with it but now I am. Also painted the exhaust on the chassis of my '59 Lincoln.
  6. I guess I shoulda put the picture of the engine in question
  7. Yeah it would be more of a custom; the engine itself is custom
  8. I've been spitballing a possible idea if I get the '59 Imperial kit; I know it's a curbside so no engine, but my '53 Ford Truck kit came with a DeSoto Hemi that I did build and put into that truck. Thought that might be a nice engine for the Imperial, but not sure if I could get that engine in there though. Again, it's just an idea; I don't even have the kit yet, but this idea is the deciding factor of whether or not I'd buy the kit- if I can get an engine in there, I'd pick up the kit. Has anyone ever done something similar; just want to know how that would go if I did that.
  9. That's pretty cool you turned it stock from racing; looks good
  10. The Chrysler’s motor was missing the second set of carbs so those funky air cleaners were sitting too low so I went in the extra parts bag and pulled out a tri carb and cut two off to put under neath so they sit right. Also the original owner glued the filters in backwards but there’s no way they would come out so that’s just the way it is.
  11. Vette interior looking good 👍 I’m sure this build will look pretty awesome when complete
  12. Finished basically everything that I can do on my Chrysler without needing the actual body yet. Still gotta sand that black off
  13. Began building my 1957 Chrysler 300 model kit; off to a flying start, especially since the engine basically assembled and painted and some other parts were painted already ( this kit was bought secondhand) and now I got pretty much every piece painted.
  14. I did too, July 2023, since I had an over bite and crooked teeth, I had braces put on in 2022 which I had on till December 2023, but I had jaw surgery in the summer that year where they cut my bottom jaw on both sides, slid it forward and put in metal plates with screws to keep my jaw forward until the bone healed. They also took out all four wisdom teeth and one molar at the same time. Fast forward to today and I now have the straightest teeth around and chiseled features. But that summer 2023 was quite the ordeal.
  15. Especially not the civilian models; taxis were way common back then apparently
