  1. So far successful in using the filler, may put one more layer on a little later before sanding it down. Still on the list are to cut out some new side windows, using a sheet of clear plastic that came in my 1962 Pontiac kit. Also have to re paint the headlights and the interior. Had to use steel wool to remove the purple decals I have placed on the unpainted interior; that went pretty poorly. Those decals were way too strong but I got most of the remnants off.
  2. Great builds; that Camaro’s lookin’ sharp with those centre hubcaps 👍
  3. Welcome to the forum, man; by the way that’s one helluva custom Edsel project you got goin’ on there can’t wait to see it finished.
  4. Cool builds; funny thing, the Fireball 500 movie was on TV about a month ago; never saw it before but I thought that custom Barracuda driven by Frankie Avalon was pretty cool. Great job on that model it looks just like the real car
  5. The Caddy’s all sanded, including the glued on body side mouldings and hood and trunk. Later today going to use filler for the first time to smooth out the gaps between the body side mouldings and had the sunroof glued in so I can smooth that over too since there will be no sunroof. Snipped the front bumper shorter on both sides and put in a piece of plastic on each side of the body between the front wheel opening and the bumper to fill the space. Still have yet to actually buy the spray paint for the car, just want to make sure the body is totally ready to be re painted. Might be tricky to find a can of 1983 Cadillac sand grey but I’d settle for something pretty darn close.
  6. Like a Jeanie ( Boy the story got a little dark there with the sawing off of live rabbits feet)
  7. Dude like, that was like, a really long like, sentence.
  8. Began the rebuild of one of THEE worst kits I had put together, my 1980 something Cadillac. Revell’s low rider kit seems to be the only way to get a nice Cadillac from the 80s era but when I got it I was in no position to alter the body or use filler in certain places -UNTIL NOW! When originally building it I tried to make it stock but with the parts I had I ended up making some atrocious, confused looking clown car out of it and kinda hated what I had done to it. The plan is to turn this… …into this, a stock 1983 Coupe DeVille, this particular car being one I’ve had my eye on for years but is unfortunately just rotting away on a mechanic lot. To make this happen, on the plastic car I had to sand off the top trim separating the vinyl top from the roof as it will be pushed back a bit. Have to cut the opera window openings larger, and put in new windows. Sanded off the side trim as I will have to use filler once the body side mouldings are glued in ( gotta sand those down too) and I also have to get rid of the sun roof, which may or may not be easy. The rest are minor detail, but I should be able to at least make it better than that clown car I originally made it out to be.
  9. 60s cars were pretty darn cool
  10. Enough of a temporary melt up here that the driveway was clear enough to take the ‘71 Skyline out for a jaunt around the driveway ( it’s a bicycle not a car). Probably gotta put it away again soon but at least it’s getting closer to spring now. 2 degrees (Celsius) with the sun out today.
  11. Baboon spelled backwards is "Noobab" and that's a pretty fun word to say.
  12. It was apparently my grandma's brother's friend's car so there are no photos of it new that I know of since it wasn't even a family car, BUT there is a pristine example of this exact same car; black four-door, red interior, 6-cylinder auto, somewhere here in Ontario. It gives a pretty good look at what this car looked like brand new.
  13. Thanks; I just thought of a cool name for it: The Cruising Vessel
  14. It actually might have been somewhat fixable, had a bunch of things not happened to it. After the 6 gave out, they took the rear diff of to use in some homemade 6-wheeled bush whacker project that didn't work, so they left the car in the gully, and then apparently it was mint, body-wise. But then the neighbors kids trespassed on the property sometime in the late '70s and totalled it. 1963 Ford 300 four door sedan - 78,422 miles - automatic - 6 cylinder Sorta ran when parked; needs a little TLC to get her on the road again $6,500 NO LOWBALLERS I KNOW WHAT I GOT (this is intended to be a joke not actual listing)
