This is my MPC 1/25 scale 1976 Dodge Dart Lite Spirit of '76. The decals are from Rays Kits from The Netherlands. I dropped in the big block 426 Hemi that was the optional engine that came with the MPC kit.

Get ready for an exciting car with cylinder deactivation! Here's my 1981 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham V-8-6-4 Ever thought you would see one of these again in the 21st century? LOL. Like the original ad said, "Trust Cadillac to lead the way." It's the Revell lowrider kit modified, detailed, added scratch built parts, and finished by adding wheels from a promo '79 Caddy which rolls. Countless hours spent researching the real car. Pics from bring a trailer of surviving real rides was of big help. As you can tell by now I love Malaise Era engine bay with acres of vacuum hoses.

1978 Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country Station Wagon

Sorry, I forgot to add these pictures with the first set of pics. Here are a few more shots of this car after it was taken apart. I worked on this car in the same way I would try to improve a basic plastic snap kit. If anyone else have the same model you can also dismantle and detail it just like mine. -

1978 Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country Station Wagon
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA posted a topic in Model Cars
My detailed 1978 Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country Station Wagon. The car was taken apart and improved from top to bottom. This is a 1/24 scale die cast by Motormax where on the chassis and the box they call it a '79, but according to that grille this is a 1978 car. First year of this downsized Mopar wagon. As usual like all other Motormax models of this scale the engine bay and chassis are unpainted and molded in black plastic. Also in this car the interior was just molded in cream/tan plastic with not much detailing. Let's start with the interior. I added deep pile carpeting, the bed liners dressed up with Bare Metal Foil, complete dashboard detailing with simulated wood applique and chrome trim, seat belts, windshield tint, all door insert detailing including adding ash trays, one partially rolled up passenger side glass, painted indicator and gear shifter lever. The engine bay was first painted matching the exterior paint of the car and then the engine was spray painted, while the rest of the detailing was done with highly dilluted black & silver paint using thin brush & toothpick. These 1970s cars had acres of vacuum hoses and good thing Motormax molded in much of them. The underside of the hood was detailed and a simulated hood insulation was painted on. The chrome trim below the roof luggage rack was dressed up with Bare Metal Foil and so were all the window trims. Motormax originally applied silver paint to highlight the window trim but BMF makes the whole car more realistic. -

1972 AMC Matador Woodie Station Wagon
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA replied to RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA's topic in Model Cars
@LennyB @W-409 The model can be requested from Too Many Projects on facebook. It can take couple weeks for Dr. Robert Burns, the owner of Too Many Projects to create the body unless he already has one in stock because he's quite busy these days building many awesome models for hundreds of people. For this car I got the body, bumpers, and bucks to create the windows from him. Now once the car does arrive it can take many more weeks or months to get it finished. It can be a long journey so patience is required. If we find an existing plastic kit that can supply engine, chassis, wheels, etc that fits easily then that makes things easier and reduce build time, but if we have to scratch build a lot of the parts then the build can take a long time. -

@Kah puts I'll be sharing many more AMC models as soon as I finish restoring them. Unfortunately many sought after AMC models are just not being produced today in plastic form, and if we find an old promo or a kit they tend to be rare and expensive which is probably why we don't see many AMC here. The resin models are not the easiest to obtain either, and when we do get one they are quite challenging to build. -

1/25 scale resin 1972 AMC Matador Woodie Station Wagon from the resin model car business called Too Many Projects on facebook, owned by Dr. Robert Burns of USA. He's known as Modelerrob on ebay. For the AMC interior I modified a broken '64 Dodge Polara interior tub and built up on that. The floor is also from the same wrecked '64 Dodge model. The wheels came from my parts bin as well as a few other bits and pieces.

1/25 scale resin 1979 Lincoln Continental with Town Car trim in Light Champagne Metallic combined with a padded Tan Landau vinyl top. This Lincoln is full optioned and wears the aluminum Turbine style wheels wrapped in Michelin X whitewall tires. Comes equipped with opera windows, coach lamps, smoker's vent windows, dual heated mirrors, and power antenna. Inside it has twin comfort Lounge seats, Quadrasonic 8 track player with surround sound & four speakers, cruise control, tilt wheel, and more, just like my real ride. This resin model is from Diolex Productions owned by Oleks Dmitr, originally based in the war torn Ukraine, but now in much safer Germany. He sells the resin kit of this car and many other fine American automobile kits on ebay.

Here's my 1/25 scale JoHan 1979 Cadillac Coupe deVille in Saxony Red with red Landau vinyl top and sunroof. Way too many hours spent restoring parts, repainting, & detailing. Body finished with clearcoat. For the interior the wood applique was made from dollar store shelf liner. Carpeting made from felt I got from Walmart. Chrome silver tone self adhesive vinyl car sticker from Canadian Tire and Molotow chrome pen used for brightwork. Check out the luxurious thick pile carpeting & wood applique! This 1979 Cadillac Coupe deVille replica from Donnie Brasco was completed in the summer of 2022, while I finished the '77 and '78 Caddy during the spring of that year. Now I need to find a Lincoln from that time period to compare & see if the Caddy got more acceleration, more power, better handling, & more legroom than a Lincoln like Al Pacino says in the opening scene.

1977 Cadillac Coupe deVille
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA replied to RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA's topic in Model Cars
@RomanII Interesting observation! When comparing the JoHan interior door panels to the actual car it looks like the front armrests are correct because they're longer than the rear armrests, so those are for the two door. However the wood applique on the door panels should be as long as the front armrests. For some reason JoHan did their carving for the wood applique much shorter than they should be. -
