MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. 36 and windy after yesterday's bipolar weather. Feels like it may snow
  2. Cool build, good way to clear out the junkyard. Great work all around, I like the weathering job. 👍👍
  3. Like Geoff said, the block and head are most likely shadow, though I've seen many engines painted up similar in the real world. Lots of rattle can warriors. The sprocket color could probably be mimicked with a zinc chromate type metallic finish. Check out alclad or any of the other metal finish type systems. A good effect or the chain can be achieved with washes and dry brushing an oily black over silver or steel
  4. That'll be a clean look for the build, I like it.👍👍
  5. Moving along nicely. Any plans for details in the bed?
  6. Now if you could only get the parts in those catalogs at that price.
  7. Very similar to Dean Moon's Cheetah.
  8. Measurements are a definite for me, being a fabricator and running machining equipment at work. I usually end up having to look at my reference material for colors with models multiple times, I always seem to forget to paint one thing or another.
  9. Great work David. I like the "cheat sheet" you have made up in the first picture. Handy little guide to have at the bench. I've got to remember that.
  10. My wife is infatuated with hummingbirds. She's told me they learn where feeders are and return every year. And they can learn to trust people and can even be hand fed. So I wouldn't be surprised if he was giving you a look. They seem to have a bit of intelligence in that small brain.
  11. New tires on my truck, alignment scheduled for tomorrow morning. All set for whatever kind of winter we're going to have.
