  1. Thank you, I looked at your car before I started mine, and can appreciate all the work you put into it. It did take a bit of filing on the doors and body seams to get them nicer...maybe thats why I got lazy and didnt cut up the body XD. I decided to 'pin' the front bumper, so holes have been drilled and glue is drying, (it seemed like the bumper really had no support if I just glued it to the body as the kit suggested). It does look 'sportier' without the bumper, but they look nice on the car.
  2. Just a few minor details left, but took pics because today is such a nice day outside. This is an old Revell Kit from 1977, took a little TLC get stuff to fit, one thing that was really disappointing about this kit is the split body with an upper and lower half...which creates unsightly seams. I give props to those who properly fix this by cutting the lower body section from the pan, then attach it to the upper body section and fill the seams...but I just didn't have it in me to put that much work into this kit. I 'made' some custom 'benz wheels' from my parts stash, and other than that pretty much box stock. enjoy~ EDIT: I added a couple pics with the front bumper, and an engine shot~
  3. From what I've read it was originally tooled by Renwal in the 60s, re-issue by Revell 1977. It's getting close, should be posting some pics soon.
  4. Nice gasser stance...and the SOHC 427 'cammer engine gets two thumbs up!
  5. Looks great, and I hear ya on the fitment struggles...sometimes it feels good just getting it done! Im fighting a 1/12 Mercedes Gullwing right now...and next is the Ferrari Testarossa Belinetta...after that I might switch to Legos or coloring books! (lol)
  6. Nice car! is that a Buick motor?
  7. looks great...back when the 'vettes were still smooth and curvy, I think the C5 'vette is much better looking than the C8
  8. Looks great! I have a coupe version and this inspires me to start on it sooner!
  9. Looks great! I'm mostly a Chevy guy but the '60 Ford Starliner is a beautiful car, I prefer it over the BelAirs of that period. The sculpted body lines, the fastback styling and thin roof pillars, horizontal fins, I think they should have carried those styling cues for several more years, your friend will be stoked!
  10. I've tried animating a drawing with AI, it is difficult writing the prompts, AI doesn't undertand the parts/pieces of the drawing I'm attempting to animate, but I see potential, might figure it out someday. jiggleFISH.mp4
  11. While the image looks very nice (better than most people could draw or paint), notice how AI never quite gets the details right...like the HEMI lettering on the billboards, and possibly the tail lights and lettering on tires. I used to draw muscle car cartoons and tried some AI stuff...it tends to fudge alot of the details. It is impressive technology, but just some how its not quite right.
  12. "You fellas have nothing to worry about... I'm a professional"... that car was in one of the funniest scenes in the movie
  13. This kit wasn't too horrible, just took some extra time to make stuff fit, I added the decals and wheels off a '79 Trans Am to give it some personality. These cars had so much smog junk under the hood only added plug wires and called it good enough.
  14. Great built...the AAR is probably my favorite 'cuda, always loved the strobe stripe and blacked out hood
  15. looks great!...boggles my mind that I built that 50 years ago 0.0
  16. Looks great! The 930 Slant nose is a beauty as well
  17. This is about 98% done, but supposed to rain tomorrow so I took some pics today. Mostly stock out of the box, added plug wires fuel lines, and a little TLC here and there to get stuff to fit better
  18. That is beautiful, and has all the period correct Mopar details 😃
  19. beautiful work 😃
  20. Nice looking build,I remember when the Monza first came out, always liked the futuristic rectangular headlights.
  21. Thanks for sharing that build! it takes me back to the good ol' days 50+ years ago, when I built that in my youth, (My brother had the 'Creepy T' with the glow-in-the-dark skull, which inspired me to use glow-in-the-dark paint on the mummy). They put alot of thought in the ancient egypt/ mummy theme for the details on that car~
  22. This is the Revell 1/12 scale '69 Camaro 3'n1 kit, alot of fun to build, impressed with the detail and everything fit nicely. Went with white interior with houndstooth inserts, the woodgrain dash added some nice color. Put slicks on the rear and stock skinnys in front. The kit included a tunnel ram with dual quads, I decided for a bit mellower sleeper look and trimmed down velocity stacks so they would fit on the cross ram and the hood still closes. Thinking about adding some stripes later...maybe yenko or baldwin motion type stripes (even tho they wouldn't really be accurate)...or maybe just the hockey stripe.
  23. very squatchy!
