  1. my favorite Studebaker
  2. Very very very nice!
  3. Its lowered quite a bit...I even cheated and used a trick I've never tried before...cut the tops of the tires off so the wheels tuck further up into the fenderwells😆. When I was doing reseach online I noticed bus owners had to cut out and build front 'tubs' under the seats, quite a bit of work!
  4. Ive had a few kits like that...(AMT 1:16 '57 Chevy comes to mind)...had to trim the firewall to clear the bell housing, inner door panels would not fit the outer door skins, bench seat was too wide for the interior tub, etc.,etc. All you can do is heat, bend, trim and 'make' the parts fit...and hope the next kit is better! Good luck 😃
  5. I've always wanted to do 1:8 scale, looks like fun
  6. Looks great! nice color and detail
  7. Very very custom! Alot of work went into this beauty!
  8. Nice build! In the '80s I got a job at a window tinting place who had a contract with the local Air Force base, every morning they would bring is four green K Cars, and take the four cars we tinted the day before. It was like a K-Car groundhog day.
  9. Pretty much done! Not a bad kit, always been a fan of old v-dubs! Mostly stock, lowered the suspension and the rest is stock~
  10. A mostly stock '64.5 Mustang, coke bottle rims, slight rake, the scoop was a leftover from a '55 chevy kit, we had a break in the weather two weeks ago so I hurried to get some paint on it...now the rains are back, good weather to stay indoors and put stuff together
  11. Looks superb! I look forward to the vinyl top tutorial...I plan to do that to my next build (1/12 scale 1969 Camaro)
  12. Nice work! The Road Runner was way cooler than the Jeep she drove...too bad they drove it off a cliff =P
  13. The spray tint or using an air brush are probably the best way to go, but the results with the pen are not bad, it was so easy I had to try it, and i have a big set of markers that I never use (left over from my drawing days)
  14. I never knew where that meme came from, but I like his 'Iron Man' movies, the scenes in his work shop have an impressive car collection in the background, (although it was painful to watch when he accidently crushed his AC Cobra)
  15. I always liked this vid: also liked his quote "if I bought the tach, I'm gunna use the whole tach"
  16. Another reminder that my old Nova turning 7000 rpms was just a grocery getter
  17. I live in a rural area with no hobby stores, and want to tint the windows on a current build. I don't use an airbrush, no local stores carry spray tint, I tried Rit dye which did not work, then saw this on YouTube...I tried his method using prismacolor wide tipped markers, and got great results. Just thought I would share:
  18. Great build! I like the red fender liners, nice touch~
  19. it has it all! reel-to-reel, CB radio...all the essentials 😃
  20. Nice work! Ive always thought 69-70 were best looking Shelbys
  21. What I find incredible is how fast they grow, they are pretty much full size and learn to fly in a little over a month after hatching. The main way to tell the juveniles is the inside of their mouth is pink instead of black...they look a little like gangly teenagers, but are full size.
  22. I have some raven 'friends' that greet me and follow me around during my walks on the beach, the new broods are entertaining and curious, and thereis always one that is very talkative. I think what made us friends-for-life is when I crack open some urchins and give them a feast! They are cool and smart birds, always make my day watching them soar and play.
