  1. Sorry guys here they are. Ran out of space on my pic. save here....
  2. Thanks everyone.....This is one of the kits on my must build list if you haven't done so already.
  3. Thanks Guys.....Thinking maybe doing another version of this truck it was a fun build.
  4. Nice Falcon! I have one of these kicking around somewhere. Not sure what I want to do with it yet.
  5. I built this truck a few years ago and finally got the chance to take a few better shots of it. It's pretty much built out of the box with the only additions of the tailgate chains and jeweled tail-light lenses. The crate is just a block of wood covered with tin foil that was painted an assortment of various water based paints. Thanks for looking and happy modeling.
  6. Sometimes it's so cool to look back at some of the old posts. This is a real wild merc. Love it!
  7. Lizzard this is Killer! I haven't seen one of these built in a long time.... I have one unbuilt and just can't get myself to do so...Oh well someday perhaps.
  8. Thanks Ed, that would be cool. If you have any questions you can catch me at either site. As far as more blast's, I'm working on it...lol Hope to make more time in the new year to build and dig through some old photo's for reference. Speaking of which, hope everyone has a Happy New Year and Happy Modeling...
  9. Thanks Guys... Midnight, I agree 100% with you I would love to see this as a kit again along with the 59. Maybe a 3 car combo set 57-8 and 9. Johnny My father had one when he was a kid. All black with a conni. kit out back. Posted a pic of it. Circa '61. Sharp cars. And glad to see your still around after getting hit by one. Thats a lot of metal! Anyway, thanks again and Happy Modeling.
  10. Hey everybody, back again for the last car of the year. This car is a friction motor promo my father had around and the chrome was pretty tired on it. The paint was in great shape and only had to be polished. After see this car every time I was there and wishing it was in my collection he asked me one day to take it and not only chrome the bumpers but all of the trim with BMF for him. Now this being a promo and in really descent shape, I hesitated for a while as I did not want to loose the value of the car. After a lot of thought I agreed. Seeing this was an untouched car I did not take the interior pan out because I did not want the risk of breaking anything so I only removed the floor pan and bumpers. You may see how the windshield is down a little. I tried to pull it up but it wasn't going anywhere. So I cleaned the body with soap and water, polished it and proceeded to chrome all of the trim. The bumpers were tricky... I have never worked with alclad and did not want to send them out as I wanted to finish this by Christmas so I BMF both. Yikes!!!! Considering the time and being a pain to do they did not come out to bad in my opinion. I am posting before and after shots so you can see the difference. Thanks for looking and Happy Modeling!
  11. Sweet! Just got this kit not sure if I want to do the hardtop or the vert. yet. Kinda wonder why they didn't put single bar flippers in though. Oh well.
  12. You have some great builds. Love the futuristic Vette!
  13. Now thats neat! I have a 5 window I am trying to figure out....Meaning, I have no idea which way I want to go with it. Oh well...
  14. Thanks guy's. W-409 can't wait to see the vert. when it's done. Keep us posted. Danno ya know ya could send some of that out this way if ya like! I took the pic's in 18 deg weather. Froze my er..... tail off but it was worth it. Now on to maybe finish another project.
  15. Finally finished this up. I nosed and decked the body then channeled it about 4 scale inches to get it down a bit. Had to make new glass as the kit glass was to thick and a pain to work with. I painted it with the Testors one coat purple and Tamiya white pearl. As for the interior about the only thing custom is the steering wheel which I robbed from the parts bin. Exhaust tips were made from aluminum tubing and the club plaque is hung with chain from the rear bumper. Thats about it. thanks for looking. Happy modeling.
  16. Thanks everyone. And yes it would be nice to see new tooling for this. Maybe throw in some old-school speed parts. Hmmmmmmm....
  17. Terry, Just heard about an hour ago the 5th one died at the hospital. So sad.
  18. Found this while looking for another car.I built pretty much box stock. If I'm not mistaken I had built it about the time I had done a notch-back for a friend of mine. Wish I had gotten pictures of that. For being stored for a long time it held up well, just a bit of cleaning was all it needed. Anyway, thanks for looking.
  19. That is pretty wild. Never thought about that roofline on that body. Good work!
  20. Thanks guy's. Tom yeah the 51 needs the rest of the trim done, motor and chassis. the 67 needs motor, chassis and body details. While it's not much trying to find the time is. Oh well.
  21. Well normally I don't post here. I usually wait till my projects are finished then post. But,times change I guess. Anyway, Hope to have these done before Christmas. Not for gifts just piece of mind. The first is a 51 Chevy kustom. Painted Testers One coat purple and white pearl. This is the second time I have used this paint and must say I'm pretty pleased. The second is AMT's 67 Chevy. This one is painted Duplicolor Champaigne Pearl with Tamiya Clear. Both cars are about half to 3/4 the way finished. As you can see they are only mocked up at this point. Hope to get the 67 a bit lower. So,wish me luck and look for them in the Under Glass section when finished. Till then happy modeling!
  22. Sweet! Maybe steelies out back with cheaters and Ansens / Fentons up front with whites...with Buick wheel backs.
  23. Wow! Very Sharp. Love the stance.
  24. This is a sweet looking car! Talk about period correct. Great job!
